عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُوۡنَۚ
— Transliteration

کس چیز کے بارے میں
يَتَسَآءَلُوۡنَۚ
yatasāalūna
are they asking one another
وہ ایک دوسرے سے سوال کر رہے ہیں
Urdu —
یہ لوگ آپس میں کس (چیز) سے متعلق سوال کرتے ہیںo
— English
About what are they asking one another?
عَنِ النَّبَاِ الۡعَظِيۡمِۙ

About the great news -
الَّذِىۡ هُمۡ فِيۡهِ مُخۡتَلِفُوۡنَؕ
— Transliteration
Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoon
الَّذِىۡ
alladhī
(About) which
وہ جو
هُمۡ
hum
they
وہ
فِيۡهِ
fīhi
(are) concerning it
اس میں
مُخۡتَلِفُوۡنَؕ
mukh'talifūna
(in) disagreement
اختلاف کر رہے ہیں
Urdu —
جس کے بارے میں وہ اختلاف کرتے ہیںo
— English
That over which they are in disagreement.
كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ
— Transliteration
Kalla sayaAAlamoon
كَلَّا
kallā
Nay!
ہرگز نہیں
سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ
sayaʿlamūna
(soon) they will know
عنقریب وہ جان لیں گے
Urdu —
ہرگز (وہ خبر لائقِ انکار) نہیں! وہ عنقریب (اس حقیقت کو) جان جائیں گےo
— English
No! They are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoon
ثُمَّ

Then
پھر
كَلَّا
kallā
Nay!
ہرگز نہیں
سَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
sayaʿlamūna
(soon) they will know
عنقریب وہ جان لیں گے
Urdu —
(ہم) پھر (کہتے ہیں: اختلاف و انکار) ہرگز (درست) نہیں! وہ عنقریب جان جائیں گےo
— English
Then, no! They are going to know.
اَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ الۡاَرۡضَ مِهٰدًاۙ
— Transliteration
Alam najAAali al-arda mihada
اَلَمۡ
alam
Have not
کیا نہیں
نَجۡعَلِ
najʿali
We made
ہم نے بنایا
الۡاَرۡضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
زمین کو
مِهٰدًا ۙ
mihādan
a resting place
فرش
Urdu —
کیا ہم نے زمین کو (زندگی کے) قیام اور کسب و عمل کی جگہ نہیں بنایاo
— English
Have We not made the earth a resting place?
وَّالۡجِبَالَ اَوۡتَادًا ۙ
— Transliteration
Waljibala awtada
وَّالۡجِبَالَ
wal-jibāla
And the mountains
اور پہاڑوں کو
اَوۡتَادًا ۙ
awtādan
(as) pegs
میخیں
Urdu —
اور (کیا) پہاڑوں کو (اس میں) ابھار کر کھڑا (نہیں) کیاo
— English
And the mountains as stakes?
وَّخَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ اَزۡوَاجًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wakhalaqnakum azwaja
وَّخَلَقۡنٰكُمۡ
wakhalaqnākum
And We created you
اور پیدا کیا ہم نے تم کو
اَزۡوَاجًا ۙ
azwājan
(in) pairs
جوڑوں کی شکل میں
Urdu —
اور (غور کرو) ہم نے تمہیں (فروغِ نسل کے لئے) جوڑا جوڑا پیدا فرمایا (ہے)o
— English
And We created you in pairs
وَّجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتًاۙ
— Transliteration
WajaAAalna nawmakum subata
وَّجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We made
اور بنایا ہم نے
نَوۡمَكُمۡ
nawmakum
your sleep
تمہاری نیند کو
سُبَاتًا ۙ
subātan
(for) rest
آرام کا ذریعہ
Urdu —
اور ہم نے تمہاری نیند کو (جسمانی) راحت (کا سبب) بنایا (ہے)o
— English
And made your sleep [a means for] rest
وَّجَعَلۡنَا الَّيۡلَ لِبَاسًاۙ
— Transliteration
WajaAAalna allayla libasa
وَّجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We made
اور بنایا ہم نے
الَّيۡلَ
al-layla
the night
رات کو
لِبَاسًا ۙ
libāsan
(as) covering
لباس/ پردہ پوش
Urdu —
اور ہم نے رات کو (اس کی تاریکی کے باعث) پردہ پوش بنایا (ہے)o
— English
And made the night as clothing
وَّجَعَلۡنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا
— Transliteration
WajaAAalna annaharamaAAasha
وَّجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We made
اور بنایا ہم نے
النَّهَارَ
l-nahāra
the day
دن کو
مَعَاشًا
maʿāshan
(for) livelihood
معاش کا وقت/ کام کا وقت
Urdu —
اور ہم نے دن کو (کسبِ) معاش (کا وقت) بنایا (ہے)o
— English
And made the day for livelihood
وَّبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعًا شِدَادًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidada
وَّبَنَيۡنَا
wabanaynā
And We constructed
اور بنائے ہم نے
فَوۡقَكُمۡ
fawqakum
over you
تمہارے اوپر
سَبۡعًا
sabʿan
seven
سات
شِدَادًا ۙ
shidādan
strong
مضبوط/ سخت
Urdu —
اور (اب خلائی کائنات میں بھی غور کرو) ہم نے تمہارے اوپر سات مضبوط (طبقات) بنائےo
— English
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
وَّجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجًا وَّهَّاجًا ۙ
— Transliteration
WajaAAalna sirajan wahhaja
وَّجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We placed
اور بنایا ہم نے
سِرَاجًا
sirājan
a lamp
سورج
وَّهَّاجًا ۙ
wahhājan
burning
روشن ہونے والا
Urdu —
اور ہم نے (سورج کو) روشنی اور حرارت کا (زبردست) منبع بنایاo
— English
And made [therein] a burning lamp
وَّاَنۡزَلۡنَا مِنَ الۡمُعۡصِرٰتِ مَآءً ثَجَّاجًاۙ
— Transliteration
Waanzalna mina almuAAsiratimaan thajjaja
وَّاَنۡزَلۡنَا
wa-anzalnā
And We sent down
اور نازل کیا ہم نے
مِنَ
mina
from
سے
الۡمُعۡصِرٰتِ
l-muʿ'ṣirāti
the rain clouds
بادلوں
مَآءً
māan
water
پانی
ثَجَّاجًا ۙ
thajjājan
pouring abundantly
بکثرت
Urdu —
اور ہم نے بھرے بادلوں سے موسلادھار پانی برسایاo
— English
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water
لِّـنُخۡرِجَ بِهٖ حَبًّا وَّنَبَاتًاۙ
— Transliteration
Linukhrija bihi habban wanabata
لِّـنُخۡرِجَ
linukh'rija
That We may bring forth
تاکہ ہم نکالیں
بِهٖ
bihi
thereby
اس کے ساتھ
حَبًّا
ḥabban
grain
غلہ
وَّنَبَاتًا ۙ
wanabātan
and vegetation
اور نباتات
Urdu —
تاکہ ہم اس (بارش) کے ذریعے (زمین سے) اناج اور سبزہ نکالیںo
— English
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
وَّجَنّٰتٍ اَلۡفَافًاؕ
— Transliteration
Wajannatin alfafa
وَّجَنّٰتٍ
wajannātin
And gardens
اور باغات
اَلۡفَافًا ؕ
alfāfan
(of) thick foliage
لپٹے ہوئے/گھنے
Urdu —
اور گھنے گھنے باغات (اگائیں)o
— English
And gardens of entwined growth.
اِنَّ يَوۡمَ الۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيۡقَاتًاۙ
— Transliteration
Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqata
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
دن
الۡفَصۡلِ
l-faṣli
(of) the Judgment
فیصلے کا
كَانَ
kāna
is
ہے
مِيۡقَاتًا ۙ
mīqātan
an appointed time
مقرر
Urdu —
(ہماری قدرت کی ان نشانیوں کو دیکھ کر جان لو کہ) بیشک فیصلہ کا دن (قیامت بھی) ایک مقررہ وقت ہےo
— English
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
يَّوۡمَ يُنۡفَخُ فِىۡ الصُّوۡرِ فَتَاۡتُوۡنَ اَفۡوَاجًاۙ
— Transliteration
Yawma yunfakhu fee assoorifata/toona afwaja
يَّوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
جس دن
يُنۡفَخُ
yunfakhu
(in which) shall be blown
پھونک مار دی جائے گی
فِى
fī
in
میں
الصُّوۡرِ
l-ṣūri
the trumpet
صور
فَتَاۡتُوۡنَ
fatatūna
and you will come forth
تو تم آؤ گے
اَفۡوَاجًا ۙ
afwājan
(in) crowds
فوج در فوج
Urdu —
جس دن صور پھونکا جائے گا تو تم گروہ در گروہ (اﷲ کے حضور) چلے آؤ گےo
— English
The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
وَّفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ اَبۡوَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wafutihati assamao fakanatabwaba
وَّفُتِحَتِ
wafutiḥati
And is opened
اور کھول دیا جائے گا
السَّمَآءُ
l-samāu
the heaven
آسمان
فَكَانَتۡ
fakānat
and becomes
تو ہوجائے گا
اَبۡوَابًا ۙ
abwāban
gateways
دروازے، دروازے
Urdu —
اور آسمان (کے طبقات) پھاڑ دیئے جائیں گے تو (پھٹنے کے باعث گویا) وہ دروازے ہی دروازے ہو جائیں گےo
— English
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
وَّسُيِّرَتِ الۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًاؕ
— Transliteration
Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanatsaraba
وَّ سُيِّرَتِ
wasuyyirati
And are moved
اور چلا دیئے جائیں گے
الۡجِبَالُ
l-jibālu
the mountains
پہاڑ
فَكَانَتۡ
fakānat
and become
تو ہوں گے وہ
سَرَابًا ؕ
sarāban
a mirage
سراب
Urdu —
اور پہاڑ (غبار بنا کر فضا میں) اڑا دیئے جائیں گے، سو وہ سراب (کی طرح کالعدم) ہو جائیں گےo
— English
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادًا ۙ
— Transliteration
Inna jahannama kanat mirsada
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
جَهَنَّمَ
jahannama
Hell
جہنم
كَانَتۡ
kānat
is
ہے
مِرۡصَادًا ۙ
mir'ṣādan
lying in wait
ایک گھات
Urdu —
بیشک دوزخ ایک گھات ہےo
— English
Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
لِّلطّٰغِيۡنَ مَاٰبًاۙ
— Transliteration
Littagheena maaba
لِّلطّٰغِيۡنَ
lilṭṭāghīna
For the transgressors
سرکشوں کے لئے
مَاٰبًا ۙ
maāban
a place of return
ٹھکانہ ہے
Urdu —
(وہ) سرکشوں کا ٹھکانا ہےo
— English
For the transgressors, a place of return,
لّٰبِثِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاۤ اَحۡقَابًاۚ
— Transliteration
Labitheena feeha ahqaba
لّٰبِثِيۡنَ
lābithīna
(They will) be remaining
ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں
فِيۡهَاۤ
fīhā
therein
اس میں
اَحۡقَابًا ۚ
aḥqāban
(for) ages
مدتوں
Urdu —
وہ ختم نہ ہونے والی پے در پے مدتیں اسی میں پڑے رہیں گےo
— English
In which they will remain for ages [unending].
لَا يَذُوۡقُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا بَرۡدًا وَّلَا شَرَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
La yathooqoona feehabardan wala sharaba
لَا
lā
Not
نہ
يَذُوۡقُوۡنَ
yadhūqūna
they will taste
وہ چکھیں گے
فِيۡهَا
fīhā
therein
اس میں
بَرۡدًا
bardan
coolness
کوئی ٹھنڈک
وَّلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
شَرَابًا ۙ
sharāban
any drink
پینے کی چیز
Urdu —
نہ وہ اس میں (کسی قسم کی) ٹھنڈک کا مزہ چکھیں گے اور نہ کسی پینے کی چیز کاo
— English
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
اِلَّا حَمِيۡمًا وَّغَسَّاقًاۙ
— Transliteration
Illa hameeman waghassaqa
اِلَّا
illā
Except
مگر
حَمِيۡمًا
ḥamīman
scalding water
کھولتا
وَّغَسَّاقًا ۙ
waghassāqan
and purulence
اور بہتی پیپ
Urdu —
سوائے کھولتے ہوئے گرم پانی اور (دوزخیوں کے زخموں سے) بہتی ہوئی پیپ کےo
— English
Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -
جَزَآءً وِّفَاقًاؕ
— Transliteration
Jazaan wifaqa
جَزَآءً
jazāan
A recompense
بدلہ ہے
وِّفَاقًا ؕ
wifāqan
appropriate
پورا پورا
Urdu —
(یہی ان کی سرکشی کے) موافق بدلہ ہےo
— English
An appropriate recompense.
اِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوۡا لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ حِسَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaba
اِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed, they
بیشک وہ
كَانُوۡا
kānū
were
وہ تھے
لَا
lā
not
نہ
يَرۡجُوۡنَ
yarjūna
expecting
امید رکھتے تھے
حِسَابًا ۙ
ḥisāban
an account
حساب کی
Urdu —
اس لئے کہ وہ قطعًا حسابِ (آخرت) کا خوف نہیں رکھتے تھےo
— English
Indeed, they were not expecting an account
وَّكَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَا كِذَّابًاؕ
— Transliteration
Wakaththaboo bi-ayatinakiththaba
وَّكَذَّبُوۡا
wakadhabū
And they denied
اور انہوں نے جھٹلایا
بِاٰيٰتِنَا
biāyātinā
Our Signs
ہماری آیات کو
كِذَّابًا ؕ
kidhāban
(with) denial
جھٹلانا
Urdu —
اور وہ ہماری آیتوں کو خوب جھٹلایا کرتے تھےo
— English
And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.
وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ اَحۡصَيۡنٰهُ كِتٰبًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wakulla shay-in ahsaynahu kitaba
وَكُلَّ
wakulla
And every
اور ہر
شَىۡءٍ
shayin
thing
چیز کو
اَحۡصَيۡنٰهُ
aḥṣaynāhu
We have enumerated it
شمار کر رکھا ہے ہم نے اس کو/ گھیر رکھا ہے ہم نے اس کو
كِتٰبًا ۙ
kitāban
(in) a Book
کتاب میں
Urdu —
اور ہم نے ہر (چھوٹی بڑی) چیز کو لکھ کر محفوظ کر رکھا ہےo
— English
But all things We have enumerated in writing.
فَذُوۡقُوۡا فَلَنۡ نَّزِيۡدَكُمۡ اِلَّا عَذَابًا
— Transliteration
Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illaAAathaba
فَذُوۡقُوۡا
fadhūqū
So taste
پس چکھو
فَلَنۡ
falan
and never
پس ہرگز نہ
نَّزِيۡدَكُمۡ
nazīdakum
We will increase you
ہم زیادہ دیں گے تم کو
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
(in) punishment
عذاب
Urdu —
(اے منکرو!) اب تم (اپنے کئے کا) مزہ چکھو (تم دنیا میں کفر و سرکشی میں بڑھتے گئے) اب ہم تم پر عذاب ہی کو بڑھاتے جائیں گےo
— English
"So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."
اِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ مَفَازًاۙ
— Transliteration
Inna lilmuttaqeena mafaza
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ
lil'muttaqīna
for the righteous
متقی لوگوں کے لئے
مَفَازًا ۙ
mafāzan
(is) success
کامیابی ہے
Urdu —
بیشک پرہیزگاروں کے لئے کامیابی ہےo
— English
Indeed, for the righteous is attainment -
حَدَآٮِٕقَ وَاَعۡنَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
Hada-iqa waaAAnaba
حَدَآٮِٕقَ
ḥadāiqa
Gardens
باغات ہیں
وَاَعۡنَابًا ۙ
wa-aʿnāban
and grapevines
اور انگور ہیں
Urdu —
(ان کے لئے) باغات اور انگور (ہوں گے)o
— English
Gardens and grapevines
وَّكَوَاعِبَ اَتۡرَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
WakawaAAiba atraba
وَّكَوَاعِبَ
wakawāʿiba
And splendid companions
اور نوخیز لڑکیاں
اَتۡرَابًا ۙ
atrāban
well-matched
ہم عمر
Urdu —
اور جواں سال ہم عمر دوشیزائیں (ہوں گی)o
— English
And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
وَّكَاۡسًا دِهَاقًاؕ
— Transliteration
Waka/san dihaqa
وَّكَاۡسًا
wakasan
And a cup
اور جام
دِهَاقًا ؕ
dihāqan
full
چھلکتے ہوئے/ بھرے ہوئے
Urdu —
اور (شرابِ طہور کے) چھلکتے ہوئے جام (ہوں گے)o
— English
And a full cup.
لَّا يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ فِيۡهَا لَـغۡوًا وَّلَا كِذّٰبًاۚ
— Transliteration
La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanwala kiththaba
لَا
lā
Not
نہ
يَسۡمَعُوۡنَ
yasmaʿūna
they will hear
وہ سنیں گے
فِيۡهَا
fīhā
therein
اس میں
لَـغۡوًا
laghwan
any vain talk
کوئی لغو بات
وَّلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
كِذّٰبًا ۚ
kidhāban
any falsehood
کوئی جھوٹی بات
Urdu —
وہاں یہ (لوگ) نہ کوئی بے ہودہ بات سنیں گے اور نہ (ایک دوسرے کو) جھٹلانا (ہوگا)o
— English
No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood -
جَزَآءً مِّنۡ رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًاۙ
— Transliteration
Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaba
جَزَآءً
jazāan
(As) a reward
بدلہ ہے
مِّنۡ
min
from
سے
رَّبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
تیرے رب کی طرف (سے)
عَطَآءً
ʿaṭāan
a gift
بدلہ/ بخشش
حِسَابًا ۙ
ḥisāban
(according to) account
بےحساب/ کفایت کرنے والی
Urdu —
یہ آپ کے رب کی طرف سے صلہ ہے جو (اعمال کے حساب سے) کافی (بڑی) عطا ہےo
— English
[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,
رَّبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا الرَّحۡمٰنِ لَا يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابًاۚ
— Transliteration
Rabbi assamawati wal-ardiwama baynahuma arrahmani layamlikoona minhu khitaba
رَّبِّ
rabbi
Lord
جو رب ہے
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
آسمانوں کا
وَالۡاَرۡضِ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین کا
وَمَا
wamā
and whatever
اور جو
بَيۡنَهُمَا
baynahumā
(is) between both of them
ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے
الرَّحۡمٰنِ
l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
رحمن
لَا
lā
not
نہ
يَمۡلِكُوۡنَ
yamlikūna
they have power
مالک ہوں گے
مِنۡهُ
min'hu
from Him
اس سے
خِطَابًا ۚ
khiṭāban
(to) address
بات کرنے کے
Urdu —
(وہ) آسمانوں اور زمین کا اور جو کچھ ان دونوں کے درمیان ہے (سب) کا پروردگار ہے، بڑی ہی رحمت والا ہے (مگر روزِ قیامت اس کے رعب و جلال کا عالم یہ ہوگا کہ) اس سے بات کرنے کا (مخلوقات میں سے) کسی کو (بھی) یارا نہ ہوگاo
— English
[From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.
يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡمُ الرُّوۡحُ وَالۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ صَفًّا ؕۙ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُوۡنَ اِلَّا مَنۡ اَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحۡمٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا
— Transliteration
Yawma yaqoomu arroohu walmala-ikatusaffan la yatakallamoona illa man athinalahu arrahmanu waqala sawaba
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(The) Day
جس دن
يَقُوۡمُ
yaqūmu
will stand
قیام کریں گے
الرُّوۡحُ
l-rūḥu
the Spirit
روح/ روح الامین
وَالۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ
wal-malāikatu
and the Angels
اور فرشتے
صَفًّا ؕۙ
ṣaffan
(in) rows
صف در صف
لَّا
lā
not
نہ
يَتَكَلَّمُوۡنَ
yatakallamūna
they will speak
کلام کرسکیں گے/ نہ بات کرسیں گے
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
مَنۡ
man
(one) who -
جس کو
اَذِنَ
adhina
permits
اجازت دے
لَهُ
lahu
[for] him
اس کے لئے
الرَّحۡمٰنُ
l-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious
رحمن
وَقَالَ
waqāla
and he (will) say
اور وہ کہے
صَوَابًا
ṣawāban
(what is) correct
درست بات
Urdu —
جس دن جبرائیل (روح الامین) اور (تمام) فرشتے صف بستہ کھڑے ہوں گے، کوئی لب کشائی نہ کر سکے گا، سوائے اس شخص کے جسے خدائے رحمان نے اِذنِ (شفاعت) دے رکھا تھا اور اس نے (زندگی میں تعلیماتِ اسلام کے مطابق) بات بھی درست کہی تھیo
— English
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
ذٰلِكَ الۡيَوۡمُ الۡحَـقُّ ۚ فَمَنۡ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ مَاٰبًا
— Transliteration
Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu famanshaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaba
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
یہ ہے
الۡيَوۡمُ
l-yawmu
(is) the Day
دن
الۡحَـقُّ ۚ
l-ḥaqu
the True
برحق
فَمَنۡ
faman
So whoever
پس جو کوئی
شَآءَ
shāa
wills
چاہے
اتَّخَذَ
ittakhadha
let him take
بنالے
اِلٰى
ilā
towards
طرف
رَبِّهٖ
rabbihi
his Lord
اپنے رب کی
مَاٰبًا
maāban
a return
ٹھکانہ
Urdu —
یہ روزِ حق ہے، پس جو شخص چاہے اپنے رب کے حضور (رحمت و قربت کا) ٹھکانا بنا لےo
— English
That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
اِنَّاۤ اَنۡذَرۡنٰـكُمۡ عَذَابًا قَرِيۡبًا ۖۚ يَّوۡمَ يَنۡظُرُ الۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدٰهُ وَيَقُوۡلُ الۡـكٰفِرُ يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ كُنۡتُ تُرٰبًا
— Transliteration
Inna antharnakum AAathabanqareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamatyadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntuturaba
اِنَّاۤ
innā
Indeed We
بیشک ہم نے
اَنۡذَرۡنٰـكُمۡ
andharnākum
[We] have warned you
خبردار کیا ہم نے تم کو
عَذَابًا
ʿadhāban
(of) a punishment
عذاب سے
قَرِيۡبًا ۖۚ
qarīban
near
قریبی
يَّوۡمَ
yawma
(the) Day
جس دن
يَنۡظُرُ
yanẓuru
will see
دیکھے گا
الۡمَرۡءُ
l-maru
the man
انسان
مَا
mā
what
جو
قَدَّمَتۡ
qaddamat
have sent forth
آگے بھیجا
يَدٰهُ
yadāhu
his hands
اس کے دونوں ہاتھوں نے
وَيَقُوۡلُ
wayaqūlu
and will say
اور کہے گا
الۡـكٰفِرُ
l-kāfiru
the disbeliever
کافر
يٰلَيۡتَنِىۡ
yālaytanī
`O, I wish
اے کاش کہ میں
كُنۡتُ
kuntu
I were
میں ہوتا
تُرٰبًا
turāban
dust
مٹی/خاک
Urdu —
بلا شبہ ہم نے تمہیں عنقریب آنے والے عذاب سے ڈرا دیا ہے، اس دن ہر آدمی ان (اعمال) کو جو اس نے آگے بھیجے ہیں دیکھ لے گا، اور (ہر) کافر کہے گا: اے کاش! میں مٹی ہوتا (اور اس عذاب سے بچ جاتا)o

Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"
