اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا اِلٰى قَوۡمِهٖۤ اَنۡ اَنۡذِرۡ قَوۡمَكَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Inna arsalna noohan ilaqawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an ya/tiyahum AAathabunaleem
اِنَّاۤ
innā
Indeed, We
بیشک ہم نے
اَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalnā
[We] sent
بھیجا ہم نے
نُوۡحًا
nūḥan
Nuh
نوح کو
اِلٰى
ilā
to
طرف
قَوۡمِهٖۤ
qawmihi
his people
اس کی قوم کی
اَنۡ
an
that
کہ
اَنۡذِرۡ
andhir
Warn
ڈراؤ
قَوۡمَكَ
qawmaka
your people
اپنی قوم کو
مِنۡ
min
**before
سے
قَبۡلِ
qabli
before
اس سے پہلے
اَنۡ
an
[that]
کہ
يَّاۡتِيَهُمۡ
yatiyahum
comes to them
آئے ان کے پاس
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
a punishment
عذاب
اَلِيۡمٌ
alīmun
painful
دردناک
Urdu —
بے شک ہم نے نوح (علیہ السلام) کو ان کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا کہ آپ اپنی قوم کو ڈرائیں قبل اس کے کہ اُنہیں دردناک عذاب آپہنچےo
— English
Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment."
قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اِنِّىۡ لَـكُمۡ نَذِيۡرٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ
— Transliteration
Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerunmubeen
قَالَ
qāla
He said
اس نے کہا
يٰقَوۡمِ
yāqawmi
O my people
اے میری قوم
اِنِّىۡ
innī
Indeed, I am
بیشک میں
لَـكُمۡ
lakum
to you
تم کو
نَذِيۡرٌ
nadhīrun
a warner
ڈرانے والا ہوں
مُّبِيۡنٌۙ
mubīnun
clear
کھلم کھلا
Urdu —
اُنہوں نے کہا: اے میری قوم! بے شک میں تمہیں واضح ڈر سنانے والا ہوںo
— English
He said, "O my people, indeed I am to you a clear warner,
اَنِ اعۡبُدُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاتَّقُوۡهُ وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِۙ
— Transliteration
Ani oAAbudoo Allaha wattaqoohuwaateeAAoon
اَنِ
ani
That
کہ
اعۡبُدُوا
uʿ'budū
Worship
عبادت کرو
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ کی
وَاتَّقُوۡهُ
wa-ittaqūhu
and fear Him
اور ڈرو اس سے
وَاَطِيۡعُوۡنِۙ
wa-aṭīʿūni
and obey me
اور اطاعت کرو میری
Urdu —
کہ تم اﷲ کی عبادت کرو اور اُس سے ڈرو اور میری اِطاعت کروo
— English
[Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me.
يَغۡفِرۡ لَـكُمۡ مِّنۡ ذُنُوۡبِكُمۡ وَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىؕ اِنَّ اَجَلَ اللّٰهِ اِذَا جَآءَ لَا يُؤَخَّرُۘ لَوۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikumwayu-akhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahiitha jaa la yu-akhkharu law kuntumtaAAlamoon
يَغۡفِرۡ
yaghfir
He will forgive
بخش دے گا
لَـكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تمہارے لیے
مِّنۡ
min
[of]
میں سے
ذُنُوۡبِكُمۡ
dhunūbikum
your sins
تمہارے گناہوں
وَيُؤَخِّرۡكُمۡ
wayu-akhir'kum
and give you respite
اور مہلت دے گا تم کو
اِلٰٓى
ilā
for
تک
اَجَلٍ
ajalin
a term
وقت
مُّسَمًّىؕ
musamman
specified
مقرر
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
اَجَلَ
ajala
(the) term
مقرر کیا ہوا وقت
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کا
اِذَا
idhā
when
جب
جَآءَ
jāa
it comes
آجاتا ہے
لَا
lā
not
تو نہیں دی جاتی
يُؤَخَّرُۘ
yu-akharu
is delayed
ڈھیل
لَوۡ
law
if
اگر
كُنۡتُمۡ
kuntum
you
ہو تم
تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ
taʿlamūna
know
تم جانتے
Urdu —
وہ تمہارے گناہ بخش دے گا اور تمہیں مقررہ مدت تک مہلت عطا کرے گا، بے شک اﷲ کی (مقرر کردہ) مدت جب آجائے تو مہلت نہیں دی جاتی، کاش! تم جانتے ہوتےo
— English
Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' "
قَالَ رَبِّ اِنِّىۡ دَعَوۡتُ قَوۡمِىۡ لَيۡلاً وَّنَهَارًاۙ
— Transliteration
Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmeelaylan wanahara
قَالَ
qāla
He said
اس نے کہا
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
اے میرے رب
اِنِّىۡ
innī
Indeed, I
بیشک میں نے
دَعَوۡتُ
daʿawtu
invited
میں نے پکارا
قَوۡمِىۡ
qawmī
my people
اپنی قوم کو
لَيۡلًا
laylan
night
رات کو
وَّنَهَارًا ۙ
wanahāran
and day
اور دن کو
Urdu —
نوح (علیہ السلام) نے عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! بے شک میں اپنی قوم کو رات دن بلاتا رہاo
— English
He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day.
فَلَمۡ يَزِدۡهُمۡ دُعَآءِىۡۤ اِلَّا فِرَارًا
— Transliteration
Falam yazidhum duAAa-ee illafirara
فَلَمۡ
falam
But not
تو نہ
يَزِدۡهُمۡ
yazid'hum
increased them
زیادہ کیا ان کو
دُعَآءِىۡۤ
duʿāī
my invitation
میری پکارنے
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
فِرَارًا
firāran
(in) flight
فرار میں
Urdu —
لیکن میری دعوت نے ان کے لئے سوائے بھاگنے کے کچھ زیادہ نہیں کیاo
— English
But my invitation increased them not except in flight.
وَاِنِّىۡ كُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَهُمۡ جَعَلُوۡۤا اَصَابِعَهُمۡ فِىۡۤ اٰذَانِهِمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡشَوۡا ثِيَابَهُمۡ وَاَصَرُّوۡا وَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوۡا اسۡتِكۡبَارًاۚ
— Transliteration
Wa-innee kullama daAAawtuhumlitaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihimwastaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo wastakbarooistikbara
وَاِنِّىۡ
wa-innī
And indeed, I
اور بیشک میں نے
كُلَّمَا
kullamā
every time
جب کبھی
دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ
daʿawtuhum
I invited them
میں نے پکارا ان کو
لِتَغۡفِرَ
litaghfira
that You may forgive
تاکہ تو بخش دے
لَهُمۡ
lahum
them,
ان کو
جَعَلُوۡۤا
jaʿalū
they put
انہوں نے ڈال لیں
اَصَابِعَهُمۡ
aṣābiʿahum
their fingers
اپنی انگلیاں
فِىۡۤ
fī
in
میں
اٰذَانِهِمۡ
ādhānihim
their ears
اپنے کانوں
وَاسۡتَغۡشَوۡا
wa-is'taghshaw
and covered themselves
اور اوڑھ لیے۔ ڈھانپ لی
ثِيَابَهُمۡ
thiyābahum
(with) their garments
ے کپڑے اپنے
وَاَصَرُّوۡا
wa-aṣarrū
and persisted
اور انہوں نے اصرار کیا
وَاسۡتَكۡبَرُوا
wa-is'takbarū
and were arrogant
اور تکبر کیا
اسۡتِكۡبَارًا ۚ
is'tik'bāran
(with) pride
تکبر کرنا
Urdu —
اور میں نے جب (بھی) اُنہیں (ایمان کی طرف) بلایا تاکہ تو انہیں بخش دے تو انہوں نے اپنی انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں دے لیں اور اپنے اوپر اپنے کپڑے لپیٹ لئے اور (کفر پر) ہٹ دھرمی کی اور شدید تکبر کیاo
— English
And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.
ثُمَّ اِنِّىۡ دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ جِهَارًاۙ
— Transliteration
Thumma innee daAAawtuhum jihara
ثُمَّ

Then
پھر
اِنِّىۡ

indeed, I
بیشک میں
دَعَوۡتُهُمۡ
daʿawtuhum
invited them
میں نے پکارا ان کو
جِهَارًا ۙ
jihāran
publicly
اعلانیہ
Urdu —
پھر میں نے انہیں بلند آواز سے دعوت دیo
— English
Then I invited them publicly.
ثُمَّ اِنِّىۡۤ اَعۡلَـنۡتُ لَهُمۡ وَاَسۡرَرۡتُ لَهُمۡ اِسۡرَارًاۙ
— Transliteration
Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahumisrara
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
پھر
اِنِّىۡۤ
innī
indeed, I
بیشک میں نے
اَعۡلَـنۡتُ
aʿlantu
announced
اعلانیہ (تبلیغ) کی
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
ان کو
وَاَسۡرَرۡتُ
wa-asrartu
and I confided
اور چپکے چپکے کی
لَهُمۡ
lahum
to them
ان کے لیے
اِسۡرَارًا ۙ
is'rāran
secretly
تنہائی میں کرنا
Urdu —
پھر میں نے انہیں اِعلانیہ (بھی) سمجھایا اور انہیں پوشیدہ رازدارانہ طور پر (بھی) سمجھایاo
— English
Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly
فَقُلۡتُ اسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡا رَبَّكُمۡؕ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ غَفَّارًاۙ
— Transliteration
Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kanaghaffara
فَقُلۡتُ
faqul'tu
Then I said
پھر میں نے کہا
اسۡتَغۡفِرُوۡا
is'taghfirū
Ask forgiveness
بخشش مانگو
رَبَّكُمۡؕ
rabbakum
(from) your Lord
اپنے رب سے
اِنَّهٗ
innahu
Indeed, He
بیشک وہ
كَانَ
kāna
is
ہے
غَفَّارًا ۙ
ghaffāran
Oft-Forgiving
بخشنے والا
Urdu —
پھر میں نے کہا کہ تم اپنے رب سے بخشش طلب کرو، بے شک وہ بڑا بخشنے والا ہےo
— English
And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver.
يُّرۡسِلِ السَّمَآءَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ مِّدۡرَارًاۙ
— Transliteration
Yursili assamaa AAalaykummidrara
يُّرۡسِلِ
yur'sili
He will send down
بھیجے گا
السَّمَآءَ
l-samāa
(rain from) the sky
آسمان کو
عَلَيۡكُمۡ
ʿalaykum
upon you
تم پر
مِّدۡرَارًا ۙ
mid'rāran
(in) abundance
خوب برسنے والا (بنا کر)
Urdu —
وہ تم پر بڑی زوردار بارش بھیجے گاo
— English
He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers
وَّيُمۡدِدۡكُمۡ بِاَمۡوَالٍ وَّبَنِيۡنَ وَيَجۡعَل لَّـكُمۡ جَنّٰتٍ وَّيَجۡعَل لَّـكُمۡ اَنۡهٰرًاؕ
— Transliteration
Wayumdidkum bi-amwalin wabaneenawayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anhara
وَّيُمۡدِدۡكُمۡ
wayum'did'kum
And provide you
اور مدد کرے گا تمہاری
بِاَمۡوَالٍ
bi-amwālin
with wealth
ساتھ مالوں کے
وَّبَنِيۡنَ
wabanīna
and children
اور بیٹوں کے
وَيَجۡعَلۡ
wayajʿal
and make
اور بنائے گا
لَّـكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تمہارے لیے
جَنّٰتٍ
jannātin
gardens
باغات
وَّيَجۡعَلۡ
wayajʿal
and make
اور بنائے گا
لَّـكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تمہارے لیے
اَنۡهٰرًا ؕ
anhāran
rivers
نہریں
Urdu —
اور تمہاری مدد اَموال اور اولاد کے ذریعے فرمائے گا اور تمہارے لئے باغات اُگائے گا اور تمہارے لئے نہریں جاری کر دے گاo
— English
And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.
مَّا لَـكُمۡ لَا تَرۡجُوۡنَ لِلّٰهِ وَقَارًاۚ
— Transliteration
Ma lakum la tarjoona lillahiwaqara
مَا
mā
What
کیا ہے
لَـكُمۡ
lakum
(is) for you,
تم کو
لَا
lā
not
نہیں
تَرۡجُوۡنَ
tarjūna
you attribute
تم امید رکھتے
لِلّٰهِ
lillahi
to Allah
اللہ کے لیے
وَقَارًا ۚ
waqāran
grandeur
کس وقار کی
Urdu —
تمہیں کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ تم اﷲ کی عظمت کا اِعتقاد اور معرفت نہیں رکھتےo
— English
What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur
وَقَدۡ خَلَقَكُمۡ اَطۡوَارًا
— Transliteration
Waqad khalaqakum atwara
وَقَدۡ
waqad
And indeed,
اور تحقیق
خَلَقَكُمۡ
khalaqakum
He created you
اس نے پیدا کیا تم کو
اَطۡوَارًا
aṭwāran
(in) stages
طرح طرح سے
Urdu —
حالانکہ اس نے تمہیں طرح طرح کی حالتوں سے پیدا فرمایاo
— English
While He has created you in stages?
اَلَمۡ تَرَوۡا كَيۡفَ خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ سَبۡعَ سَمٰوٰتٍ طِبَاقًاۙ
— Transliteration
Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa AllahusabAAa samawatin tibaqa
اَلَمۡ
alam
Do not
کیا نہیں
تَرَوۡا
taraw
you see
تم نے دیکھا
كَيۡفَ
kayfa
how
کس طرح
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
did create
پیدا کیا
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah
اللہ نے
سَبۡعَ
sabʿa
(the) seven
سات
سَمٰوٰتٍ
samāwātin
heavens
آسمانوں کو
طِبَاقًا ۙ
ṭibāqan
(in) layers
تہ بہ تہ
Urdu —
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اﷲ نے کس طرح سات (یا متعدّد) آسمانی کرّے باہمی مطابقت کے ساتھ (طبق در طبق) پیدا فرمائےo
— English
Do you not consider how Allah has created seven heavens in layers
وَجَعَلَ الۡقَمَرَ فِيۡهِنَّ نُوۡرًاۙ وَّجَعَلَ الشَّمۡسَ سِرَاجًا
— Transliteration
WajaAAala alqamara feehinna nooran wajaAAalaashshamsa siraja
وَّجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
And made
اور بنایا
الۡقَمَرَ
l-qamara
the moon
چاند کو
فِيۡهِنَّ
fīhinna
therein
ان میں
نُوۡرًا ۙ
nūran
a light
نور
وَّجَعَلَ
wajaʿala
and made
اور بنایا
الشَّمۡسَ
l-shamsa
the sun
سورج کو
سِرَاجًا
sirājan
a lamp
چراغ
Urdu —
اور اس نے ان میں چاند کو روشن کیا اور اس نے سورج کو چراغ (یعنی روشنی اور حرارت کا منبع) بنایاo
— English
And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp?
وَاللّٰهُ اَنۡۢبَتَكُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَرۡضِ نَبَاتًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wallahu anbatakum mina al-ardinabata
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ نے
اَنۡۢبَتَكُمۡ
anbatakum
has caused you to grow
اگایا تم کو
مِّنَ
mina
from
سے
الۡاَرۡضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
زمین
نَبَاتًا ۙ
nabātan
(as) a growth
اگانا
Urdu —
اور اﷲ نے تمہیں زمین سے سبزے کی مانند اُگایا٭o
— English
And Allah has caused you to grow from the earth a [progressive] growth.
ثُمَّ يُعِيۡدُكُمۡ فِيۡهَا وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ اِخۡرَاجًا
— Transliteration
Thumma yuAAeedukum feehawayukhrijukum ikhraja
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
پھر
يُعِيۡدُكُمۡ
yuʿīdukum
He will return you
اعادہ کرے گا تمہارا۔ لوٹائے گا تم کو
فِيۡهَا
fīhā
into it
اس میں
وَيُخۡرِجُكُمۡ
wayukh'rijukum
and bring you forth
اور نکالے گا تم کو
اِخۡرَاجًا
ikh'rājan
(a new) bringing forth
نکلنا
Urdu —
پھر تم کو اسی (زمین) میں لوٹا دے گا اور (پھر) تم کو (اسی سے دوبارہ) باہر نکالے گاo
— English
Then He will return you into it and extract you [another] extraction.
وَاللّٰهُ جَعَلَ لَـكُمُ الۡاَرۡضَ بِسَاطًاۙ
— Transliteration
Wallahu jaAAala lakumu al-ardabisata
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ نے
جَعَلَ
jaʿala
made
بنایا
لَـكُمُ
lakumu
for you
تمہارے لیے
الۡاَرۡضَ
l-arḍa
the earth
زمین کو
بِسَاطًا ۙ
bisāṭan
an expanse
بچھونا
Urdu —
اور اﷲ نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو فرش بنا دیاo
— English
And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse
لِّـتَسۡلُكُوۡا مِنۡهَا سُبُلاً فِجَاجًا
— Transliteration
Litaslukoo minha subulan fijaja
لِّـتَسۡلُكُوۡا
litaslukū
That you may along
تاکہ تم چلو
مِنۡهَا
min'hā
therein
اس میں
سُبُلًا
subulan
(in) paths
راستوں میں
فِجَاجًا
fijājan
wide
کشادہ
Urdu —
تاکہ تم اس کے کشادہ راستوں میں چلو پھروo
— English
That you may follow therein roads of passage.' "
قَالَ نُوۡحٌ رَّبِّ اِنَّهُمۡ عَصَوۡنِىۡ وَاتَّبَعُوۡا مَنۡ لَّمۡ يَزِدۡهُ مَالُهٗ وَوَلَدُهٗۤ اِلَّا خَسَارًاۚ
— Transliteration
Qala noohun rabbi innahum AAasawneewattabaAAoo man lam yazidhu maluhu wawaladuhu illakhasara
قَالَ

Said
کہا
نُوۡحٌ
nūḥun
Nuh,
نوح نے
رَّبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
اے میرے رب
اِنَّهُمۡ
innahum
Indeed, they
بیشک انہوں نے
عَصَوۡنِىۡ
ʿaṣawnī
disobeyed me
میری نافرمانی کی
وَاتَّبَعُوۡا
wa-ittabaʿū
and followed
اور پیروی کی
مَنۡ
man
(the one) who,
اس کی
لَّمۡ
lam
(did) not
جو نہیں
يَزِدۡهُ
yazid'hu
increase him
اضافہ کیا اس کو
مَالُهٗ
māluhu
his wealth
اس کے مال نے
وَوَلَدُهٗۤ
wawaladuhu
and his children
اور اس کی اولاد نے
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
خَسَارًا ۚ
khasāran
(in) loss
خسارے میں
Urdu —
نوح (علیہ السلام)نے عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! انہوں نے میری نافرمانی کی اور اُس (سرکش رؤساء کے طبقے) کی پیروی کرتے رہے جس کے مال و دولت اور اولاد نے انہیں سوائے نقصان کے اور کچھ نہیں بڑھایاo
— English
Noah said, "My Lord, indeed they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children will not increase him except in loss.
وَمَكَرُوۡا مَكۡرًا كُبَّارًاۚ
— Transliteration
Wamakaroo makran kubbara
وَمَكَرُوۡا
wamakarū
And they have planned
اور انہوں نے چال لی
مَكۡرًا
makran
a plan
ایک چال
كُبَّارًا ۚ
kubbāran
great
بہت بڑی
Urdu —
اور (عوام کو گمراہی میں رکھنے کے لئے) وہ بڑی بڑی چالیں چلتے رہےo
— English
And they conspired an immense conspiracy.
وَقَالُوۡا لَا تَذَرُنَّ اٰلِهَتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَّلَا سُوَاعًا ۙ وَّلَا يَغُوۡثَ وَيَعُوۡقَ وَنَسۡرًاۚ
— Transliteration
Waqaloo la tatharunna alihatakumwala tatharunna waddan wala suwaAAanwala yaghootha wayaAAooqa wanasra
وَ قَالُوۡا
waqālū
And they said
اور انہوں نے کہا
لَا
lā
`(Do) not
نہ
تَذَرُنَّ
tadharunna
leave
تم چھوڑو
اٰلِهَتَكُمۡ
ālihatakum
your gods,
اپنے ا لہوں کو
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
اور نہ
تَذَرُنَّ
tadharunna
leave
تم چھوڑو
وَدًّا
waddan
Wadd
ود کو
وَّلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
سُوَاعًا ۙ
suwāʿan
Suwa
سواع کو
وَّ لَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
يَغُوۡثَ
yaghūtha
Yaguth
یغوث کو
وَيَعُوۡقَ
wayaʿūqa
and Yauq
اور نہ یعوق کو
وَنَسۡرًا ۚ
wanasran
and Nasr
اور نہ نسر کو
Urdu —
اور کہتے رہے کہ تم اپنے معبودوں کو مت چھوڑنا اور وَدّ اور سُوَاع اور یَغُوث اور یَعُوق اور نَسر (نامی بتوں) کو (بھی) ہرگز نہ چھوڑناo
— English
And said, 'Never leave your gods and never leave Wadd or Suwa' or Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.
وَقَدۡ اَضَلُّوۡا كَثِيۡرًا ۚ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ اِلَّا ضَلٰلاً
— Transliteration
Waqad adalloo katheeran walatazidi aththalimeena illa dalala
وَقَدۡ
waqad
And indeed,
اور تحقیق
اَضَلُّوۡا
aḍallū
they have led astray
انہوں نے بھٹکا دیا
كَثِيۡرًا ۚ
kathīran
many
بہت سوں کو
وَلَا
walā
And not
اور نہ
تَزِدِ
tazidi
increase
تو اضافہ کر
الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ
l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
ظالموں کو
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
ضَلٰلًا
ḍalālan
(in) error
گمراہی میں
Urdu —
اور واقعی انہوں نے بہت لوگوں کو گمراہ کیا، سو (اے میرے رب!) تو (بھی ان) ظالموں کو سوائے گمراہی کے (کسی اور چیز میں) نہ بڑھاo
— English
And already they have misled many. And, [my Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error."
مِّمَّا خَطٓيْئٰتِهِمۡ اُغۡرِقُوۡا فَاُدۡخِلُوۡا نَارًا ۙ فَلَمۡ يَجِدُوۡا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اَنۡصَارًا
— Transliteration
Mimma khatee-atihimoghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooniAllahi ansara
مِّمَّا
mimmā
Because of
مگر
خَطِٓيْئٰتِهِمۡ
khaṭīātihim
their sins
خطائیں تھیں ان کی
اُغۡرِقُوۡا
ugh'riqū
they were drowned
وہ غرق کیے گئے
فَاُدۡخِلُوۡا
fa-ud'khilū
then made to enter
پھر فورا داخل کیے گئے
نَارًا ۙ
nāran
(the) Fire
آگ میں
فَلَمۡ
falam
and not
پھر نہ
يَجِدُوۡا
yajidū
they found
انہوں نے پایا
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for themselves
اپنے لیے
مِّنۡ
min
**besides
دُوۡنِ
dūni
besides
سوا
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
اللہ کے
اَنۡصَارًا
anṣāran
any helpers
کوئی مددگار
Urdu —
(بالآخر) وہ اپنے گناہوں کے سبب غرق کر دئیے گئے، پھر آگ میں ڈال دئیے گئے، سو وہ اپنے لئے اﷲ کے مقابل کسی کو مددگار نہ پا سکےo
— English
Because of their sins they were drowned and put into the Fire, and they found not for themselves besides Allah [any] helpers.
وَقَالَ نُوۡحٌ رَّبِّ لَا تَذَرۡ عَلَى الۡاَرۡضِ مِنَ الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ دَيَّارًا
— Transliteration
Waqala noohun rabbi latathar AAala al-ardi mina alkafireenadayyara
وَ قَالَ
waqāla
And said
اور کہا
نُوۡحٌ
nūḥun
Nuh,
نوح نے
رَّبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
اے میرے رب
لَا
lā
(Do) not
نہ
تَذَرۡ
tadhar
leave
تو چھوڑ
عَلَى
ʿalā
on
پر
الۡاَرۡضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
زمین (پر)
مِنَ
mina
any
میں سے
الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ
l-kāfirīna
(of) the disbelievers
کافروں
دَيَّارًا
dayyāran
(as) an inhabitant
کوئی بسنے والا
Urdu —
اور نوح (علیہ السلام) نے عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! زمین پر کافروں میں سے کوئی بسنے والا باقی نہ چھوڑo
— English
And Noah said, "My Lord, do not leave upon the earth from among the disbelievers an inhabitant.
اِنَّكَ اِنۡ تَذَرۡهُمۡ يُضِلُّوۡا عِبَادَكَ وَلَا يَلِدُوۡۤا اِلَّا فَاجِرًا كَفَّارًا
— Transliteration
Innaka in tatharhum yudillooAAibadaka wala yalidoo illa fajirankaffara
اِنَّكَ
innaka
Indeed, You,
بیشک تو
اِنۡ
in
if
اگر
تَذَرۡهُمۡ
tadharhum
You leave them
تو چھوڑ دے گا ان کو
يُضِلُّوۡا
yuḍillū
they will mislead
وہ بھٹکا دیں گے
عِبَادَكَ
ʿibādaka
Your slaves
تیرے بندوں کو
وَلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
يَلِدُوۡۤا
yalidū
they will beget
وہ جنم دیں گے
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
فَاجِرًا
fājiran
a wicked
فاجروں کو۔ نافرمانوں کو
كَفَّارًا
kaffāran
a disbeliever
سخت کافروں کو
Urdu —
بے شک اگر تو اُنہیں (زندہ) چھوڑے گا تو وہ تیرے بندوں کو گمراہ کرتے رہیں گے، اور وہ بدکار (اور) سخت کافر اولاد کے سوا کسی کو جنم نہیں دیں گےo
— English
Indeed, if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants and not beget except [every] wicked one and [confirmed] disbeliever.
رَّبِّ اغۡفِرۡ لِىۡ وَلِـوَالِدَىَّ وَلِمَنۡ دَخَلَ بَيۡتِىَ مُؤۡمِنًا وَّلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِؕ وَلَا تَزِدِ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ اِلَّا تَبَارًا
— Transliteration
Rabbi ighfir lee waliwalidayyawaliman dakhala baytiya mu/minan walilmu/mineena walmu/minatiwala tazidi aththalimeena illatabaran
رَبِّ
rabbi
My Lord
اے میرے رب
اغۡفِرۡ
igh'fir
Forgive
بخش دے
لِىۡ
lī
me
مجھ کو
وَلِـوَالِدَىَّ
waliwālidayya
and my parents
اور میرے والدین کو
وَلِمَنۡ
waliman
and whoever
اور واسطے اس کے
دَخَلَ
dakhala
enters
جو داخل ہو
بَيۡتِىَ
baytiya
my house
میرے گھر میں
مُؤۡمِنًا
mu'minan
a believer
ایمان لا کر
وَّلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
walil'mu'minīna
and the believing men
اور مومنوں کو
وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِؕ
wal-mu'mināti
and the believing women
اور مومن عورتوں کو
وَلَا
walā
And (do) not
اور نہ تو
تَزِدِ
tazidi
increase
اضافہ کر
الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ
l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
ظالموں کو
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
تَبَارًا
tabāran
(in) destruction
ہلاکت میں
Urdu —
اے میرے رب! مجھے بخش دے اور میرے والدین کو اور ہر اس شخص کو جو مومن ہو کر میرے گھر میں داخل ہوا اور (جملہ) مومن مردوں کو اور مومن عورتوں کو، اور ظالموں کے لئے سوائے ہلاکت کے کچھ (بھی) زیادہ نہ فرماo
— English
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction."
