سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ وَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الۡحَكِيۡمُ
— Transliteration
Sabbaha lillahi ma fee assamawatiwal-ardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeem
سَبَّحَ
sabbaḥa
Glorifies
تسبیح کی ہے۔ کرتی ہے
لِلّٰهِ
lillahi
[to] Allah
اللہ ہی کے لیے
مَا
mā
whatever
ہر اس چیز نے جو
فِى
fī
(is) in
میں ہے
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
آسمانوں
وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین میں
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
اور وہ
الۡعَزِيۡزُ
l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty
زبردست ہے
الۡحَكِيۡمُ
l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
حکمت والا ہے
Urdu —
اللہ ہی کی تسبیح کرتے ہیں جو بھی آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہیں، اور وہی بڑی عزت والا بڑی حکمت والا ہےo
— English
Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ يُحۡىٖ وَيُمِيۡتُۚ وَهُوَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Lahu mulku assamawatiwal-ardi yuhyee wayumeetu wahuwa AAalakulli shay-in qadeer
لَهٗ
lahu
For Him
اسی کے لیے ہے
مُلۡكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
بادشاہت
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
آسمانوں کی
وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین کی
يُحۡىٖ
yuḥ'yī
He gives life
وہ زندہ کرتا ہے
وَيُمِيۡتُۚ
wayumītu
and causes death
اور موت دیتا ہے
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
اور وہ
عَلٰى
ʿalā
(is) over
پر
كُلِّ
kulli
all
ہر
شَىۡءٍ
shayin
things
چیز
قَدِيۡرٌ
qadīrun
All-Powerful
قدرت رکھتا ہے
Urdu —
اسی کے لئے آسمانوں اور زمین کی بادشاہت ہے، وہی جِلاتا اور مارتا ہے، اور وہ ہر چیز پر بڑا قادر ہےo
— English
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.
هُوَ الۡاَوَّلُ وَالۡاٰخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالۡبَاطِنُۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Huwa al-awwalu wal-akhiru waththahiruwalbatinu wahuwa bikulli shay-in AAaleem
هُوَ
huwa
He
وہی
الۡاَوَّلُ
l-awalu
(is) the First
اول ہے
وَالۡاٰخِرُ
wal-ākhiru
and the Last
اور وہی آخر ہے
وَالظَّاهِرُ
wal-ẓāhiru
and the Apparent
اور ظاہر ہے
وَالۡبَاطِنُۚ
wal-bāṭinu
and the Unapparent
اور باطن ہے
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
اور وہ
بِكُلِّ
bikulli
(is) of every
ہر
شَىۡءٍ
shayin
thing
چیز کو
عَلِيۡمٌ
ʿalīmun
All-Knower
جاننے والا ہے
Urdu —
وہی (سب سے) اوّل اور (سب سے) آخر ہے اور (اپنی قدرت کے اعتبار سے) ظاہر اور (اپنی ذات کے اعتبار سے) پوشیدہ ہے، اور وہ ہر چیز کو خوب جاننے والا ہےo
— English
He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ فِىۡ سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسۡتَوٰى عَلَى الۡعَرۡشِؕ يَعۡلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَمَا يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا يَنۡزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعۡرُجُ فِيۡهَاؕ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ اَيۡنَ مَا كُنۡتُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ بَصِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Huwa allathee khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawaAAala alAAarshi yaAAlamu ma yaliju fee al-ardiwama yakhruju minha wama yanzilu mina assama-iwama yaAAruju feeha wahuwa maAAakum ayna makuntum wallahu bima taAAmaloona baseer
هُوَ
huwa
He
وہ
الَّذِىۡ
alladhī
(is) the One Who
اللہ وہ ذات ہے
خَلَقَ
khalaqa
created
جس نے پیدا کیا
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
the heavens
آسمانوں کو
وَالۡاَرۡضَ
wal-arḍa
and the earth
اور زمین کو
فِىۡ
fī
in
میں
سِتَّةِ
sittati
six
چھ
اَيَّامٍ
ayyāmin
periods
دنوں
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
پھر
اسۡتَوٰى
is'tawā
He rose
جلوہ فرما ہوا
عَلَى
ʿalā
over
پر
الۡعَرۡشِؕ
l-ʿarshi
the Throne
عرش
يَعۡلَمُ
yaʿlamu
He knows
وہ جانتا ہے
مَا
mā
what
جو کچھ
يَلِجُ
yaliju
penetrates
داخل ہوتا ہے
فِى
fī
in(to)
میں
الۡاَرۡضِ
l-arḍi
the earth
زمین
وَمَا
wamā
and what
اور جو کچھ
يَخۡرُجُ
yakhruju
comes forth
نکلتا ہے
مِنۡهَا
min'hā
from it,
اس میں سے
وَمَا
wamā
and what
اور جو کچھ
يَنۡزِلُ
yanzilu
descends
اترتا ہے
مِنَ
mina
from
سے
السَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
the heaven
آسمان
وَمَا
wamā
and what
اور جو کچھ
يَعۡرُجُ
yaʿruju
ascends
چڑھتا ہے
فِيۡهَاؕ
fīhā
therein;
اس میں
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
اور وہ
مَعَكُمۡ
maʿakum
(is) with you
تمہارے ساتھ ہے
اَيۡنَ
ayna
**wherever
جہاں کہیں
مَا
mā
**wherever
كُنۡتُمۡؕ
kuntum
you are
تم ہوتے ہو
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ
بِمَا
bimā
of what
ساتھ اس کے
تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
taʿmalūna
you do
جو تم عمل کرتے ہو
بَصِيۡرٌ
baṣīrun
(is) All-seer
دیکھنے والا ہے
Urdu —
وہی ہے جِس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ اَدوار میں پیدا فرمایا پھر کائنات کی مسندِ اقتدار پر جلوہ افروز ہوا (یعنی پوری کائنات کو اپنے امر کے ساتھ منظم فرمایا)، وہ جانتا ہے جو کچھ زمین میں داخل ہوتا ہے اور جو کچھ اس میں سے خارج ہوتا ہے اور جو کچھ آسمانی کرّوں سے اترتا (یا نکلتا) ہے یا جو کچھ ان میں چڑھتا (یا داخل ہوتا) ہے۔ وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہوتا ہے تم جہاں کہیں بھی ہو، اور اللہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو (اسے) خوب دیکھنے والا ہےo
— English
It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.
لَهٗ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرۡجَعُ الۡاُمُوۡرُ
— Transliteration
Lahu mulku assamawatiwal-ardi wa-ila Allahi turjaAAual-omoor
لَهٗ
lahu
For Him
اسی کے لیے ہے
مُلۡكُ
mul'ku
(is the) dominion
بادشاہت
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
آسمانوں کی
وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین کی
وَاِلَى
wa-ilā
and to
اور طرف
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
اللہ ہی کی
تُرۡجَعُ
tur'jaʿu
will be returned
لوٹائے جاتے ہیں
الۡاُمُوۡرُ
l-umūru
the matters
سب کام
Urdu —
آسمانوں اور زمین کی ساری سلطنت اسی کی ہے، اور اسی کی طرف سارے امور لوٹائے جاتے ہیںo
— English
His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.
يُوۡلِجُ الَّيۡلَ فِىۡ النَّهَارِ وَيُوۡلِجُ النَّهَارَ فِىۡ الَّيۡلِؕ وَهُوَ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُوۡرِ
— Transliteration
Yooliju allayla fee annahariwayooliju annahara fee allayi wahuwa AAaleemun bithatiassudoor
يُوۡلِجُ
yūliju
He merges
داخل کرتا ہے
الَّيۡلَ
al-layla
the night
رات کو
فِى
fī
into
میں
النَّهَارِ
l-nahāri
the day
دن
وَيُوۡلِجُ
wayūliju
and He merges
اور داخل کرتا ہے
النَّهَارَ
l-nahāra
the day
دن کو
فِى
fī
into
میں
الَّيۡلِؕ
al-layli
the night
رات
وَهُوَ
wahuwa
and He
اور وہ
عَلِيۡمٌۢ
ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
جاننے والا ہے
بِذَاتِ
bidhāti
**of what is in the breasts.
بھید
الصُّدُوۡرِ
l-ṣudūri
of what is in the breasts
سینوں کے
Urdu —
وہی رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے، اور وہ سینوں کی (پوشیدہ) باتوں سے بھی خوب باخبر ہےo
— English
He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts.
اٰمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَاَنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا جَعَلَـكُمۡ مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِيۡنَ فِيۡهِؕ فَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡكُمۡ وَاَنۡفَقُوۡا لَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ كَبِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Aminoo billahiwarasoolihi waanfiqoo mimma jaAAalakum mustakhlafeenafeehi fallatheena amanoo minkum waanfaqoolahum ajrun kabeer
اٰمِنُوۡا
āminū
Believe
ایمان لاؤ
بِاللّٰهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
اللہ پر
وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ
warasūlihi
and His Messenger
اور اس کے رسول پر
وَاَنۡفِقُوۡا
wa-anfiqū
and spend
اور خرچ کرو
مِمَّا
mimmā
of what
اس میں سے جو
جَعَلَـكُمۡ
jaʿalakum
He has made you
اس نے بنایا تم کو
مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِيۡنَ
mus'takhlafīna
trustees
پیچھے رہ جانے والے۔ خلیفہ۔ جانشین
فِيۡهِؕ
fīhi
therein.
اس میں
فَالَّذِيۡنَ
fa-alladhīna
And those
تو وہ لوگ
اٰمَنُوۡا
āmanū
who believe
جو ایمان لائے
مِنۡكُمۡ
minkum
among you
تم میں سے
وَاَنۡفَقُوۡا
wa-anfaqū
and spend
اور انہوں نے خرچ کیا
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them
ان کے لیے
اَجۡرٌ
ajrun
(is) a reward
اجر ہے
كَبِيۡرٌ
kabīrun
great
بڑا
Urdu —
اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس (مال و دولت) میں سے خرچ کرو جس میں اس نے تمہیں اپنا نائب (و امین) بنایا ہے، پس تم میں سے جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے خرچ کیا اُن کے لئے بہت بڑا اَجر ہےo
— English
Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.
وَمَا لَـكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِۚ وَالرَّسُوۡلُ يَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُوۡا بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ اَخَذَ مِيۡثَاقَكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Wama lakum la tu/minoona billahiwarrasoolu yadAAookum litu/minoo birabbikum waqad akhathameethaqakum in kuntum mu/mineen
وَمَا
wamā
And what
اور کیا ہے
لَـكُمۡ
lakum
(is) for you
تمہارے لیے
لَا
lā
(that) not
نہیں
تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ
tu'minūna
you believe
تم ایمان لاتے ہو
بِاللّٰهِۚ
bil-lahi
in Allah
اللہ پر
وَالرَّسُوۡلُ
wal-rasūlu
while the Messenger
اور رسول
يَدۡعُوۡكُمۡ
yadʿūkum
calls you
بلاتا ہے تم کو
لِتُؤۡمِنُوۡا
litu'minū
that you believe
تاکہ تم ایمان لاؤ
بِرَبِّكُمۡ
birabbikum
in your Lord
اپنے رب پر
وَقَدۡ
waqad
and indeed,
حالانکہ تحقیق
اَخَذَ
akhadha
He has taken
اس نے لیا ہے
مِيۡثَاقَكُمۡ
mīthāqakum
your covenant
پختہ عہد تم سے
اِنۡ
in
if
اگر
كُنۡتُمۡ
kuntum
you are
ہو تم
مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
mu'minīna
believers
ایمان لانے والے
Urdu —
اور تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم اللہ پر ایمان نہیں لاتے، حالانکہ رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تمہیں بلا رہے ہیں کہ تم اپنے رب پر ایمان لاؤ اور بیشک (اللہ) تم سے مضبوط عہد لے چکا ہے، اگر تم ایمان لانے والے ہوo
— English
And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?
هُوَ الَّذِىۡ يُنَزِّلُ عَلٰى عَبۡدِهٖۤ اٰيٰتٍۭۢ بَيِّنٰتٍ لِّيُخۡرِجَكُمۡ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوۡرِؕ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Huwa allathee yunazzilu AAalaAAabdihi ayatin bayyinatin liyukhrijakummina aththulumati ila annooriwa-inna Allaha bikum laraoofun raheem
هُوَ
huwa
He
وہ اللہ
الَّذِىۡ
alladhī
(is) the One Who
وہ ذات ہے
يُنَزِّلُ
yunazzilu
sends down
جو اتارتا ہے
عَلٰى
ʿalā
upon
پر
عَبۡدِهٖۤ
ʿabdihi
His slave
اپنے بندے
اٰيٰتٍۭ
āyātin
Verses
آیات
بَيِّنٰتٍ
bayyinātin
clear
روشن
لِّيُخۡرِجَكُمۡ
liyukh'rijakum
that He may bring you out
تاکہ وہ نکالے تم کو
مِّنَ
mina
from
سے
الظُّلُمٰتِ
l-ẓulumāti
the darkness[es]
اندھیروں
اِلَى
ilā
into
طرف
النُّوۡرِؕ
l-nūri
the light
روشنی کی
وَاِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed,
اور بیشک
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ تعالیٰ
بِكُمۡ
bikum
to you
ساتھ تمہارے
لَرَءُوۡفٌ
laraūfun
(is the) Most Kind
البتہ شفقت کرنے والا
رَّحِيۡمٌ
raḥīmun
(the) Most Merciful
مہربان ہے
Urdu —
وہی ہے جو اپنے (برگزیدہ) بندے پر واضح نشانیاں نازل فرماتا ہے تاکہ تمہیں اندھیروں سے روشنی کی طرف نکال لے جائے، اور بیشک اللہ تم پر نہایت شفقت فرمانے والا نہایت رحم فرمانے والا ہےo
— English
It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.
وَمَا لَـكُمۡ اَلَّا تُنۡفِقُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَلِلّٰهِ مِيۡرَاثُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ لَا يَسۡتَوِىۡ مِنۡكُمۡ مَّنۡ اَنۡفَقَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِ الۡفَتۡحِ وَقَاتَلَؕ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِّنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَنۡفَقُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَاتَلُوۡاؕ وَكُلاًّ وَّعَدَ اللّٰهُ الۡحُسۡنٰىؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ خَبِيۡرٌ
— Transliteration
Wama lakum alla tunfiqoo feesabeeli Allahi walillahi meerathu assamawatiwal-ardi la yastawee minkum man anfaqa minqabli alfathi waqatala ola-ika aAAthamudarajatan mina allatheena anfaqoo min baAAdu waqataloowakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna wallahubima taAAmaloona khabeer
وَ مَا
wamā
And what
اور کیا ہے
لَـكُمۡ
lakum
(is) for you
تم کو
اَلَّا
allā
that not
کہ نہیں
تُنۡفِقُوۡا
tunfiqū
you spend
تم خرچ کرتے ہو
فِىۡ
fī
in
میں
سَبِيۡلِ
sabīli
(the) way
راستے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کے
وَلِلّٰهِ
walillahi
while for Allah
اور اللہ ہی کے لیے ہے
مِيۡـرَاثُ
mīrāthu
(is the) heritage
میراث
السَّمٰوٰتِ
l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
آسمانوں کی
وَ الۡاَرۡضِؕ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین کی
لَا
lā
Not
نہیں
يَسۡتَوِىۡ
yastawī
are equal
برابر ہوسکتے
مِنۡكُمۡ
minkum
among you
تم میں سے
مَّنۡ
man
(those) who
جس نے
اَنۡفَقَ
anfaqa
spent
خرچ کیا
مِنۡ
min
**before
سے
قَبۡلِ
qabli
before
پہلے
الۡفَتۡحِ
l-fatḥi
the victory
فتح
وَقَاتَلَ ؕ
waqātala
and fought
اور جنگ کی
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ
ulāika
Those
یہی لوگ
اَعۡظَمُ
aʿẓamu
(are) greater
زیادہ بڑے ہیں
دَرَجَةً
darajatan
(in) degree
درجے میں
مِّنَ
mina
than
ان لوگوں سے
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
those who
جنہوں نے
اَنۡفَقُوۡا
anfaqū
spent
خرچ کیا
مِنۡۢ
min
**afterwards
اس کے
بَعۡدُ
baʿdu
afterwards
بعد
وَقَاتَلُوۡا ؕ
waqātalū
and fought
اور انہوں نے جنگ کی
وَكُلًّا
wakullan
But to all
اور ہر ایک کو
وَّعَدَ
waʿada
Allah has promised
وعدہ کیا
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
Allah has promised
اللہ نے
الۡحُسۡنٰىؕ
l-ḥus'nā
the best
بھلائی کا
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ تعالیٰ
بِمَا
bimā
of what
ساتھ اس کے
تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
taʿmalūna
you do
جو تم عمل کرتے ہو
خَبِيۡرٌ
khabīrun
(is) All-Aware
باخبر ہے
Urdu —
اور تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ نہیں کرتے حالانکہ آسمانوں اور زمین کی ساری ملکیت اللہ ہی کی ہے (تم تو فقط اس مالک کے نائب ہو)، تم میں سے جن لوگوں نے فتحِ (مکّہ) سے پہلے (اللہ کی راہ میں اپنا مال) خرچ کیا اور قتال کیا وہ (اور تم) برابر نہیں ہوسکتے، وہ اُن لوگوں سے درجہ میں بہت بلند ہیں جنہوں نے بعد میں مال خرچ کیا ہے اور قتال کیا ہے، مگر اللہ نے حسنِ آخرت (یعنی جنت) کا وعدہ سب سے فرما دیا ہے، اور اللہ جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو اُن سے خوب آگاہ ہےo
— English
And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.
مَّنۡ ذَا الَّذِىۡ يُقۡرِضُ اللّٰهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضٰعِفَهٗ لَهٗ وَلَهٗۤ اَجۡرٌ كَرِيۡمٌ ۚ
— Transliteration
Man tha allathee yuqriduAllaha qardan hasanan fayudaAAifahulahu walahu ajrun kareem
مَنۡ
man
Who (is)
کون
ذَا
dhā
**the one who
ہے
الَّذِىۡ
alladhī
the one who
جو
يُقۡرِضُ
yuq'riḍu
will loan
قرض دے گا
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
(to) Allah
اللہ کو
قَرۡضًا
qarḍan
a loan
قرض
حَسَنًا
ḥasanan
goodly
حسنہ
فَيُضٰعِفَهٗ
fayuḍāʿifahu
so He will multiply it
پھر وہ دوگنا کرے گا اس کو
لَهٗ
lahu
for him
اس کے لیے
وَلَهٗۤ
walahu
and for him
اور اس کے لیے
اَجۡرٌ
ajrun
(is) a reward
اجر ہے
كَرِيۡمٌ ۚ
karīmun
noble
عزت والا
Urdu —
کون شخص ہے جو اللہ کو قرضِ حسنہ کے طور پر قرض دے تو وہ اس کے لئے اُس (قرض) کو کئی گنا بڑھاتا رہے اور اس کے لئے بڑی عظمت والا اجر ہےo

Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?
يَوۡمَ تَرَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَسۡعٰى نُوۡرُهُمۡ بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَبِاَيۡمَانِهِمۡ بُشۡرٰٮكُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِىۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِهَا الۡاَنۡهٰرُ خٰلِدِيۡنَ فِيۡهَاؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡعَظِيۡمُۚ
— Transliteration
Yawma tara almu/mineena walmu/minatiyasAAa nooruhum bayna aydeehim wabi-aymanihim bushrakumualyawma jannatun tajree min tahtiha al-anharukhalideena feeha thalika huwa alfawzu alAAatheem
يَوۡمَ
yawma
(On the) Day
جس دن
تَرَى
tarā
you will see
تم دیکھو گے
الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ
l-mu'minīna
the believing men
مومن مردوں کو
وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ
wal-mu'mināti
and the believing women
اور مومن عورتوں کو
يَسۡعٰى
yasʿā
running
دوڑتا ہے
نُوۡرُهُمۡ
nūruhum
their light
نور ان کا
بَيۡنَ
bayna
before them
ان کے
اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ
aydīhim
before them
آگے
وَبِاَيۡمَانِهِمۡ
wabi-aymānihim
and on their right
اور ان کے دائیں ہاتھ
بُشۡرٰٮكُمُ
bush'rākumu
Glad tidings for you
(کہا جائے گا) خوشخبری ہی ہے تم کو
الۡيَوۡمَ
l-yawma
this Day
آج کے دن
جَنّٰتٌ
jannātun
gardens
باغات ہیں
تَجۡرِىۡ
tajrī
flowing
بہتی ہیں
مِنۡ
min
from
سے
تَحۡتِهَا
taḥtihā
underneath it
ان کے نیچے
الۡاَنۡهٰرُ
l-anhāru
the rivers
نہریں
خٰلِدِيۡنَ
khālidīna
abiding forever
ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں
فِيۡهَاؕ
fīhā
therein.
اس میں
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
یہی
هُوَ
huwa
[it] (is)
وہ
الۡفَوۡزُ
l-fawzu
the success
کامیابی ہے
الۡعَظِيۡمُۚ
l-ʿaẓīmu
the great
بڑی
Urdu —
(اے حبیب!) جس دن آپ (اپنی امّت کے) مومن مَردوں اور مومن عورتوں کو دیکھیں گے کہ اُن کا نور اُن کے آگے اور اُن کی دائیں جانب تیزی سے چل رہا ہوگا (اور اُن سے کہا جائے گا:) تمہیں بشارت ہو آج (تمہارے لئے) جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے سے نہریں رواں ہیں (تم) ہمیشہ ان میں رہو گے، یہی بہت بڑی کامیابی ہےo
— English
On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.
يَوۡمَ يَقُوۡلُ الۡمُنٰفِقُوۡنَ وَالۡمُنٰفِقٰتُ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا انْظُرُوۡنَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِنۡ نُّوۡرِكُمۡۚ قِيۡلَ ارۡجِعُوۡا وَرَآءَكُمۡ فَالۡتَمِسُوۡا نُوۡرًاؕ فَضُرِبَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ بِسُوۡرٍ لَّهٗ بَابٌؕ بَاطِنُهٗ فِيۡهِ الرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَاهِرُهٗ مِنۡ قِبَلِهِ الۡعَذَابُؕ
— Transliteration
Yawma yaqoolu almunafiqoona walmunafiqatulillatheena amanoo onthuroonanaqtabis min noorikum qeela irjiAAoo waraakum faltamisoonooran faduriba baynahum bisoorin lahu babun batinuhufeehi arrahmatu wathahiruhumin qibalihi alAAathab
يَوۡمَ

(On the) Day

يَقُوۡلُ
yaqūlu
will say
کہیں گے
الۡمُنٰفِقُوۡنَ
l-munāfiqūna
the hypocrite men
منافق (مرد)
وَالۡمُنٰفِقٰتُ
wal-munāfiqātu
and the hypocrite women
اور منافق عورتیں
لِلَّذِيۡنَ
lilladhīna
to those who
ان لوگوں کے لیے جو
اٰمَنُوا
āmanū
believed
ایمان لائے
انْظُرُوۡنَا
unẓurūnā
Wait for us
دیکھو ہم کو ہم
نَقۡتَبِسۡ
naqtabis
we may acquire
روشنی حاصل کریں
مِنۡ
min
of
سے
نُّوۡرِكُمۡۚ
nūrikum
your light
تمہارے نور
قِيۡلَ
qīla
It will be said
کہہ دیا جائے گا ل
ارۡجِعُوۡا
ir'jiʿū
back
وٹ جاؤ۔ پلٹ جاؤ
وَرَآءَكُمۡ
warāakum
behind you
اپنے پیچھے
فَالۡتَمِسُوۡا
fal-tamisū
and seek
پھر تلاش کرو
نُوۡرًاؕ
nūran
light
نور کو
فَضُرِبَ
faḍuriba
Then will be put up
تو حائل کردی جائے گی
بَيۡنَهُمۡ
baynahum
between them
ان کے درمیان
بِسُوۡرٍ
bisūrin
a wall
ایک دیوار
لَّهٗ
lahu
for it
اس کا
بَابٌؕ
bābun
a gate
ایک دروازہ ہوگا
بَاطِنُهٗ
bāṭinuhu
its interior
اس کے اندر
فِيۡهِ
fīhi
in it
اس میں
الرَّحۡمَةُ
l-raḥmatu
(is) mercy
رحمت ہوگی
وَظَاهِرُهٗ
waẓāhiruhu
but its exterior
اور اس کے باہر
مِنۡ
min
**facing towards [it]
اس کے
قِبَلِهِ
qibalihi
facing towards [it]
سامنے سے
الۡعَذَابُؕ
l-ʿadhābu
the punishment
عذاب ہوگا
Urdu —
جس دن منافق مرد اور منافق عورتیں ایمان والوں سے کہیں گے: ذرا ہم پر (بھی) نظرِ (التفات) کر دو ہم تمہارے نور سے کچھ روشنی حاصل کرلیں۔ ان سے کہا جائے گا: تم اپنے پیچھے پلٹ جاؤ اور (وہاں جاکر) نور تلاش کرو (جہاں تم نور کا انکار کرتے تھے)، تو (اسی وقت) ان کے درمیان ایک دیوار کھڑی کر دی جائے گی جس میں ایک دروازہ ہوگا، اس کے اندر کی جانب رحمت ہوگی اور اس کے باہر کی جانب اُس طرف سے عذاب ہوگاo
— English
On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.
يُنَادُوۡنَهُمۡ اَلَمۡ نَكُنۡ مَّعَكُمۡؕ قَالُوۡا بَلٰى وَلٰـكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنۡتُمۡ اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَارۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ الۡاَمَانِىُّ حَتّٰى جَآءَ اَمۡرُ اللّٰهِ وَغَرَّكُمۡ بِاللّٰهِ الۡغَرُوۡرُ
— Transliteration
Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloobala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastumwartabtum wagharratkumu al-amaniyyu hattajaa amru Allahi wagharrakum billahialgharoor
يُنَادُوۡنَهُمۡ
yunādūnahum
They will call them
وہ پکاریں گے ان کو
اَلَمۡ
alam
`Were not
کیا نہ
نَكُنۡ
nakun
we
تھے ہم
مَّعَكُمۡؕ
maʿakum
with you?`
تمہارے ساتھ
قَالُوۡا
qālū
They will say
وہ کہیں گے
بَلٰى
balā
`Yes,
کیوں نہیں
وَلٰـكِنَّكُمۡ
walākinnakum
but you
لیکن تم نے
فَتَنۡتُمۡ
fatantum
led to temptation
فتنے میں ڈالا تم نے
اَنۡفُسَكُمۡ
anfusakum
yourselves
اپنے نفسوں کو
وَ تَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ
watarabbaṣtum
and you awaited
اور موقعہ پرستی کی تم نے
وَارۡتَبۡتُمۡ
wa-ir'tabtum
and you doubted
اور شک میں پڑے رہے تم
وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ
wagharratkumu
and deceived you
اور دھوکے میں ڈالا تم کو
الۡاَمَانِىُّ
l-amāniyu
the wishful thinking
خواہشات نے
حَتّٰى
ḥattā
until
یہاں تک کہ
جَآءَ
jāa
came
آگیا
اَمۡرُ
amru
(the) Command
فیصلہ
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کا
وَ غَرَّكُمۡ
wagharrakum
And deceived you
اور دھوکے میں ڈالا تم کو
بِاللّٰهِ
bil-lahi
about Allah
اللہ کے بارے میں
الۡغَرُوۡرُ
l-gharūru
the deceiver
بڑے دھوکے باز نے
Urdu —
وہ (منافق) اُن (مومنوں) کو پکار کر کہیں گے: کیا ہم (دنیا میں) تمہاری سنگت میں نہ تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے: کیوں نہیں! لیکن تم نے اپنے آپ کو (منافقت کے) فتنہ میں مبتلا کر دیا تھا اور تم (ہمارے لئے برائی اور نقصان کے) منتظر رہتے تھے اور تم (نبوّتِ محمدی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور دینِ اسلام میں) شک کرتے تھے اور باطل امیدوں نے تمہیں دھوکے میں ڈال دیا، یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا اَمرِ (موت) آپہنچا اور تمہیں اللہ کے بارے میں دغا باز (شیطان) دھوکہ دیتا رہاo
— English
The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.
فَالۡيَوۡمَ لَا يُؤۡخَذُ مِنۡكُمۡ فِدۡيَةٌ وَّلَا مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡاؕ مَاۡوٰٮكُمُ النَّارُؕ هِىَ مَوۡلٰٮكُمۡؕ وَبِئۡسَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ
— Transliteration
Falyawma la yu/khathuminkum fidyatun wala mina allatheena kafaroo ma/wakumuannaru hiya mawlakum wabi/sa almaseer
فَالۡيَوۡمَ
fal-yawma
So today
تو آج
لَا
lā
not
نہ
يُؤۡخَذُ
yu'khadhu
will be accepted
لیا جائے گا
مِنۡكُمۡ
minkum
from you
تم سے
فِدۡيَةٌ
fid'yatun
any ransom
کوئی فدیہ
وَّلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
مِنَ
mina
from
سے
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
those who
ان لوگوں
كَفَرُوۡاؕ
kafarū
disbelieved
جنہوں نے کفر کیا
مَاۡوٰٮكُمُ
mawākumu
Your abode
ٹھکانہ تمہارا
النَّارُؕ
l-nāru
(is) the Fire
آگ ہے
هِىَ
hiya
it (is)
وہ
مَوۡلٰٮكُمۡؕ
mawlākum
your protector
دوست ہے تمہاری
وَبِئۡسَ
wabi'sa
and wretched is
اور بدترین
الۡمَصِيۡرُ
l-maṣīru
the destination
انجام۔ ٹھکانہ
Urdu —
پس آج کے دن (اے منافقو!) تم سے کوئی معاوضہ قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا اور نہ ہی اُن سے جنھوں نے کفر کیا تھا اور تم (سب) کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے، اور یہی (ٹھکانا) تمہارا مولا (یعنی ساتھی) ہے، اور وہ نہایت بری جگہ ہے (کیونکہ تم نے اُن کو مولا ماننے سے انکار کر دیا تھا جہاں سے تمہیں نورِ ایمان اور بخشش کی خیرات ملنی تھے)o
— English
So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination.
اَلَمۡ يَاۡنِ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنۡ تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الۡحَـقِّۙ وَلَا يَكُوۡنُوۡا كَالَّذِيۡنَ اُوۡتُوۡا الۡكِتٰبَ مِنۡ قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡاَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوۡبُهُمۡؕ وَكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Alam ya/ni lillatheena amanooan takhshaAAa quloobuhum lithikri Allahi wamanazala mina alhaqqi wala yakoonoo kallatheenaootoo alkitaba min qablu fatala AAalayhimu al-amadufaqasat quloobuhum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoon
۞ اَلَمۡ
alam
**Has not
کیا نہیں
يَاۡنِ
yani
come (the) time
وقت آیا
لِلَّذِيۡنَ
lilladhīna
for those who
ان لوگوں کے لیے
اٰمَنُوۡۤا
āmanū
believed
جو ایمان لائے ہیں
اَنۡ
an
that
کہ
تَخۡشَعَ
takhshaʿa
become humble
جھک جائیں
قُلُوۡبُهُمۡ
qulūbuhum
their hearts
ان کے دل
لِذِكۡرِ
lidhik'ri
at (the) remembrance (of) Allah
ذکر کے لیے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
at (the) remembrance (of) Allah
اللہ کے
وَمَا
wamā
and what
اور جو کچھ
نَزَلَ
nazala
has come down
اترا
مِنَ
mina
of
میں سے
الۡحَـقِّۙ
l-ḥaqi
the truth
حق
وَلَا
walā
And not
اور نہ
يَكُوۡنُوۡا
yakūnū
they become
وہ ہوں
كَالَّذِيۡنَ
ka-alladhīna
like those who
ان لوگوں کی طرح
اُوۡتُوا
ūtū
were given
جو دیئے گئے
الۡكِتٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Book
کتاب
مِنۡ
min
**before,
اس سے
قَبۡلُ
qablu
before
قبل
فَطَالَ
faṭāla
(and) was prolonged
تو لمبی ہوگئی
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ʿalayhimu
for them
ان پر
الۡاَمَدُ
l-amadu
the term
مدت
فَقَسَتۡ
faqasat
so hardened
تو سخت ہوگئے
قُلُوۡبُهُمۡؕ
qulūbuhum
their hearts
ان کے دل
وَكَثِيۡرٌ
wakathīrun
and many
اور بہت سے
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
ان میں سے
فٰسِقُوۡنَ
fāsiqūna
(are) defiantly disobedient
نافرمان ہیں
Urdu —
کیا ایمان والوں کے لئے (ابھی) وہ وقت نہیں آیا کہ اُن کے دل اللہ کی یاد کے لئے رِقّت کے ساتھ جھک جائیں اور اس حق کے لئے (بھی) جو نازل ہوا ہے اور اُن لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جائیں جنہیں اس سے پہلے کتاب دی گئی تھی پھر ان پر مدّت دراز گزر گئی تو اُن کے دل سخت ہوگئے، اور ان میں بہت سے لوگ نافرمان ہیںo
— English
Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحۡىِ الۡاَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاؕ قَدۡ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
IAAlamoo anna Allaha yuhyeeal-arda baAAda mawtiha qad bayyanna lakumual-ayati laAAallakum taAAqiloon
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا
iʿ'lamū
Know
جان لو
اَنَّ
anna
that
بیشک
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ تعالیٰ
يُحۡىِ
yuḥ'yī
gives life
زندہ کرتا ہے
الۡاَرۡضَ
l-arḍa
(to) the earth
زمین کو
بَعۡدَ
baʿda
after
بعد
مَوۡتِهَاؕ
mawtihā
its death
اس کی موت کے
قَدۡ
qad
Indeed,
تحقیق
بَيَّنَّا
bayyannā
We have made clear
بیان کیں ہم نے
لَكُمُ
lakumu
to you
تمہارے لیے
الۡاٰيٰتِ
l-āyāti
the Signs
آیات
لَعَلَّكُمۡ
laʿallakum
so that you may
تاکہ تم
تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ
taʿqilūna
understand
تم عقل سے کام لو
Urdu —
جان لو کہ اللہ ہی زمین کو اُس کی مُردنی کے بعد زندہ کرتا ہے، اور بیشک ہم نے تمہارے لئے نشانیاں واضح کر دی ہیں تاکہ تم عقل سے کام لوo
— English
Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.
اِنَّ الۡمُصَّدِّقِيۡنَ وَالۡمُصَّدِّقٰتِ وَاَقۡرَضُوۡا اللّٰهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنًا يُّضٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ اَجۡرٌ كَرِيۡمٌ
— Transliteration
Inna almussaddiqeena walmussaddiqatiwaaqradoo Allaha qardan hasanan yudaAAafulahum walahum ajrun kareem
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
الۡمُصَّدِّقِيۡنَ
l-muṣadiqīna
the men who give charity
صدقہ کرنے والے مرد
وَالۡمُصَّدِّقٰتِ
wal-muṣadiqāti
and the women who give charity
اور صدقہ کرنے والی عورتیں
وَاَقۡرَضُوا
wa-aqraḍū
and who lend
اور انہوں نے قرض دیا
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
(to) Allah
اللہ کو
قَرۡضًا
qarḍan
a loan
قرض
حَسَنًا
ḥasanan
goodly
حسنہ
يُّضٰعَفُ
yuḍāʿafu
it will be multiplied
دوگنا کیا جائے گا
لَهُمۡ
lahum
for them,
ان کے لیے
وَلَهُمۡ
walahum
and for them
اور ان کے لیے
اَجۡرٌ
ajrun
(is) a reward
اجر ہے
كَرِيۡمٌ
karīmun
noble
عزت والا
Urdu —
بیشک صدقہ و خیرات دینے والے مرد اور صدقہ و خیرات دینے والی عورتیں اور جنہوں نے اللہ کو قرضِ حسنہ کے طور پر قرض دیا ان کے لئے (صدقہ و قرضہ کا اجر) کئی گنا بڑھا دیا جائے گا اور اُن کے لئے بڑی عزت والا ثواب ہوگاo
— English
Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.
وَالَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيۡقُوۡنَۖ وَالشُّهَدَآءُ عِنۡدَ رَبِّهِمۡؕ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُوۡرُهُمۡؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا وَكَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَحِيۡمِ
— Transliteration
Wallatheena amanoo billahiwarusulihi ola-ika humu assiddeeqoona washshuhadaoAAinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanooruhum wallatheenakafaroo wakaththaboo bi-ayatina ola-ikaas-habu aljaheem
وَالَّذِيۡنَ
wa-alladhīna
And those who
اور وہ لوگ جو
اٰمَنُوۡا
āmanū
believe
ایمان لائے
بِاللّٰهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
اللہ پر
وَرُسُلِهٖۤ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
اور اس کے رسولوں پر
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ
ulāika
[those]
یہی لوگ
هُمُ
humu
they
وہ
الصِّدِّيۡقُوۡنَۖ
l-ṣidīqūna
(are) the truthful
سچے ہیں
وَالشُّهَدَآءُ
wal-shuhadāu
and the martyrs
اور شہید ہیں
عِنۡدَ
ʿinda
(are) with
نزدیک
رَبِّهِمۡؕ
rabbihim
their Lord
اپنے رب کے
لَهُمۡ
lahum
For them
ان کے لیے
اَجۡرُهُمۡ
ajruhum
(is) their reward
ان کا اجر ہے
وَنُوۡرُهُمۡؕ
wanūruhum
and their light
اور ان کا نور ہے
وَ الَّذِيۡنَ
wa-alladhīna
But those who
اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے
كَفَرُوۡا
kafarū
disbelieve
جنہوں نے کفر کیا
وَكَذَّبُوۡا
wakadhabū
and deny
اور انہوں نے جھٹلایا
بِاٰيٰتِنَاۤ
biāyātinā
Our Verses
ہماری آیات کو
اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ
ulāika
those
یہی لوگ
اَصۡحٰبُ
aṣḥābu
(are the) companions
والے ہیں
الۡجَحِيۡمِ
l-jaḥīmi
(of) the Hellfire
جہنم
Urdu —
اور جو لوگ اللہ اور اس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لائے وہی لوگ اپنے رب کے نزدیک صدیق اور شہید ہیں، اُن کے لئے اُن کا اجر (بھی) ہے اور ان کا نور (بھی) ہے، اور جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور ہماری آیتوں کو جھٹلایا وہی لوگ دوزخی ہیںo
— English
And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا اَنَّمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا لَعِبٌ وَّلَهۡوٌ وَّزِيۡنَةٌ وَّتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِىۡ الۡاَمۡوَالِ وَالۡاَوۡلَادِؕ كَمَثَلِ غَيۡثٍ اَعۡجَبَ الۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهٗ ثُمَّ يَهِيۡجُ فَتَرٰٮهُ مُصۡفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُوۡنُ حُطٰمًاؕ وَّفِىۡ الۡاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيۡدٌ ۙ وَّمَغۡفِرَةٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَرِضۡوَانٌؕ وَمَا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَاۤ اِلَّا مَتَاعُ الۡغُرُوۡرِ
— Transliteration
IAAlamoo annama alhayatuaddunya laAAibun walahwun wazeenatun watafakhurunbaynakum watakathurun fee al-amwali wal-awladikamathali ghaythin aAAjaba alkuffara nabatuhuthumma yaheeju fatarahu musfarran thumma yakoonu hutamanwafee al-akhirati AAathabun shadeedun wamaghfiratunmina Allahi waridwanun wama alhayatuaddunya illa mataAAu alghuroor
اِعۡلَمُوۡۤا

Know
جان لو
اَنَّمَا
annamā
that
بیشک
الۡحَيٰوةُ
l-ḥayatu
the life
زندگی
الدُّنۡيَا
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
دنیا کی
لَعِبٌ
laʿibun
(is) play
کھیل ہے
وَّلَهۡوٌ
walahwun
and amusement
اور دل لگی ہے
وَّزِيۡنَةٌ
wazīnatun
and adornment
اور زینت ہے
وَّتَفَاخُرٌۢ
watafākhurun
and boasting
اور باہم فخر کرنا
بَيۡنَكُمۡ
baynakum
among you
آپس میں
وَتَكَاثُرٌ
watakāthurun
and competition in increase
اور ایک دوسرے سے کثرت حاصل کرنا
فِى
fī
of
میں
الۡاَمۡوَالِ
l-amwāli
the wealth
مال
وَالۡاَوۡلَادِؕ
wal-awlādi
and the children
اور اولاد میں
كَمَثَلِ
kamathali
like (the) example
مانند مثال
غَيۡثٍ
ghaythin
(of) a rain
ایک بارش کے ہے
اَعۡجَبَ
aʿjaba
pleases
خوش کیا
الۡكُفَّارَ
l-kufāra
the tillers
کسانوں کو
نَبَاتُهٗ
nabātuhu
its growth
اس کی نباتات نے
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
پھر
يَهِيۡجُ
yahīju
it dries
وہ خشک ہوجاتی ہے
فَتَرٰٮهُ
fatarāhu
and you see it
پھر تم دیکھتے ہو اس کو
مُصۡفَرًّا
muṣ'farran
turning yellow
کہ زرد ہوگئی
ثُمَّ
thumma
then
پھر
يَكُوۡنُ
yakūnu
becomes
وہ ہوجاتی ہے
حُطٰمًاؕ
ḥuṭāman
debris
ریزہ ریزہ
وَفِى
wafī
And in
اور میں
الۡاٰخِرَةِ
l-ākhirati
the Hereafter
آخرت
عَذَابٌ
ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
عذاب
شَدِيۡدٌ ۙ
shadīdun
severe
سخت ہے
وَّمَغۡفِرَةٌ
wamaghfiratun
and forgiveness
اور بخشش
مِّنَ
mina
from
کی طرف سے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
اللہ
وَرِضۡوَانٌؕ
wariḍ'wānun
and Pleasure
اور رضا مندی
وَمَا
wamā
But not
اور نہیں
الۡحَيٰوةُ
l-ḥayatu
(is) the life
دنیا کی
الدُّنۡيَاۤ
l-dun'yā
(of) the world
زندگی
اِلَّا
illā
except
مگر
مَتَاعُ
matāʿu
(the) enjoyment
سامان
الۡغُرُوۡرِ
l-ghurūri
(of) delusion
دھوکے کا
Urdu —
جان لو کہ دنیا کی زندگی محض کھیل اور تماشا ہے اور ظاہری آرائش ہے اور آپس میں فخر اور خود ستائی ہے اور ایک دوسرے پر مال و اولاد میں زیادتی کی طلب ہے، اس کی مثال بارش کی سی ہے کہ جس کی پیداوار کسانوں کو بھلی لگتی ہے پھر وہ خشک ہو جاتی ہے پھر تم اسے پک کر زرد ہوتا دیکھتے ہو پھر وہ ریزہ ریزہ ہو جاتی ہے، اور آخرت میں (نافرمانوں کے لئے) سخت عذاب ہے اور (فرمانبرداروں کے لئے) اللہ کی جانب سے مغفرت اور عظیم خوشنودی ہے، اور دنیا کی زندگی دھوکے کی پونجی کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہےo
— English
Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.
سَابِقُوۡۤا اِلٰى مَغۡفِرَةٍ مِّنۡ رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ السَّمَآءِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۙ اُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِهٖؕ ذٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ يُؤۡتِيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوۡ الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ
— Transliteration
Sabiqoo ila maghfiratin minrabbikum wajannatin AAarduha kaAAardi assama-iwal-ardi oAAiddat lillatheena amanoobillahi warusulihi thalika fadlu Allahiyu/teehi man yashao wallahu thooalfadli alAAatheem
سَابِقُوۡۤا
sābiqū
Race
ایک دوسرے سے آگے بڑھو
اِلٰى
ilā
to
طرف
مَغۡفِرَةٍ
maghfiratin
(the) forgiveness
بخشش کی
مِّنۡ
min
from
سے
رَّبِّكُمۡ
rabbikum
your Lord
اپنے رب کی طرف
وَجَنَّةٍ
wajannatin
and a Garden
اور جنت کی طرف
عَرۡضُهَا
ʿarḍuhā
its width
اس کی وسعت۔ چوڑائی
كَعَرۡضِ
kaʿarḍi
(is) like (the) width
عرض کی طرح ہے۔ وسعت کی طرح ہے
السَّمَآءِ
l-samāi
(of) the heaven
آسمان کے
وَالۡاَرۡضِۙ
wal-arḍi
and the earth
اور زمین کے
اُعِدَّتۡ
uʿiddat
prepared
تیار کی گئی ہے
لِلَّذِيۡنَ
lilladhīna
for those who
ان لوگوں کے لیے
اٰمَنُوۡا
āmanū
believe
جو ایمان لائے
بِاللّٰهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
اللہ پر
وَرُسُلِهٖؕ
warusulihi
and His Messengers
اور اس کے رسولوں پر
ذٰلِكَ
dhālika
That
یہ
فَضۡلُ
faḍlu
(is the) Bounty
فضل ہے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کا
يُؤۡتِيۡهِ
yu'tīhi
He gives
وہ عطا کرتا ہے اسے
مَنۡ
man
(to) whom
جس کو
يَّشَآءُؕ
yashāu
He wills
وہ چاہتا ہے
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ
ذُو
dhū
**(is) the Possessor of Bounty,
والا ہے
الۡفَضۡلِ
l-faḍli
(is) the Possessor of Bounty
فضل
الۡعَظِيۡمِ
l-ʿaẓīmi
the Great
بڑے
Urdu —
(اے بندو!) تم اپنے رب کی بخشش کی طرف تیز لپکو اور جنت کی طرف (بھی) جس کی چوڑائی (ہی) آسمان اور زمین کی وسعت جتنی ہے، اُن لوگوں کیلئے تیار کی گئی ہے جو اللہ اور اُس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لائے ہیں، یہ اللہ کا فضل ہے جسے وہ چاہتا ہے اسے عطا فرما دیتا ہے، اور اللہ عظیم فضل والا ہےo
— English
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
مَاۤ اَصَابَ مِنۡ مُّصِيۡبَةٍ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ وَلَا فِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اِلَّا فِىۡ كِتٰبٍ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ اَنۡ نَّبۡرَاَهَاؕ اِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ يَسِيۡرٌۚ ۖ
— Transliteration
Ma asaba min museebatinfee al-ardi wala fee anfusikum illa fee kitabinmin qabli an nabraaha inna thalika AAala Allahiyaseer

پہنچتی

مگر

a Register
ایک کتاب
مِّنۡ

اس سے
قَبۡلِ

پہلے
اَنۡ

that
کہ
نَّبۡـرَاَهَا ؕ
nabra-ahā
We bring it into existence
ہم پیدا کریں اس کو
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
ذٰ لِكَ
dhālika
that
یہ بات
عَلَى
ʿalā
for
پر
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
Allah
اللہ
يَسِيۡرٌۚ ۖ
yasīrun
(is) easy
بہت آسان ہے
Urdu —
کوئی بھی مصیبت نہ تو زمین میں پہنچتی ہے اور نہ تمہاری زندگیوں میں مگر وہ ایک کتاب میں (یعنی لوحِ محفوظ میں جو اللہ کے علمِ قدیم کا مرتبہ ہے) اس سے قبل کہ ہم اسے پیدا کریں (موجود) ہوتی ہے، بیشک یہ (علمِ محیط و کامل) اللہ پر بہت ہی آسان ہےo
— English
No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy -
لِّـكَيۡلَا تَاۡسَوۡا عَلٰى مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوۡا بِمَاۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالٍ فَخُوۡرٍۙ
— Transliteration
Likayla ta/saw AAala mafatakum wala tafrahoo bima atakumwallahu la yuhibbu kulla mukhtalinfakhoor
لِّـكَيۡلَا
likaylā
So that you may not
تاکہ نہ
تَاۡسَوۡا
tasaw
grieve
تم افسوس کرو
عَلٰى
ʿalā
over
اوپر
مَا
mā
what
اس کے جو
فَاتَكُمۡ
fātakum
has escaped you
نقصان ہوا تم کو۔ کھو گیا تم سے
وَلَا
walā
and (do) not
اور نہ
تَفۡرَحُوۡا
tafraḥū
exult
تم خوش ہو
بِمَاۤ
bimā
at what
ساتھ اس کے
اٰتٰٮكُمۡؕ
ātākum
He has given you
جو اس نے دیا تم کو
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ
لَا
lā
(does) not
نہیں
يُحِبُّ
yuḥibbu
love
پسند کرتا
كُلَّ
kulla
every
ہر
مُخۡتَالٍ
mukh'tālin
self-deluded
خود پسند
فَخُوۡرِۙ
fakhūrin
boaster
فخر جتانے والے کو
Urdu —
تاکہ تم اس چیز پر غم نہ کرو جو تمہارے ہاتھ سے جاتی رہی اور اس چیز پر نہ اِتراؤ جو اس نے تمہیں عطا کی، اور اللہ کسی تکبّر کرنے والے، فخر کرنے والے کو پسند نہیں کرتاo
— English
In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -
اۨلَّذِيۡنَ يَبۡخَلُوۡنَ وَيَاۡمُرُوۡنَ النَّاسَ بِالۡبُخۡلِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَوَلَّ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡغَنِىُّ الۡحَمِيۡدُ
— Transliteration
Allatheena yabkhaloona waya/muroona annasabilbukhli waman yatawalla fa-inna Allaha huwaalghaniyyu alhameed
اۨلَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
Those who
وہ لوگ
يَبۡخَلُوۡنَ
yabkhalūna
are stingy
جو بخل کرتے ہیں
وَيَاۡمُرُوۡنَ
wayamurūna
and enjoin
اور حکم دیتے ہیں
النَّاسَ
l-nāsa
(on) the people
لوگوں کو
بِالۡبُخۡلِؕ
bil-bukh'li
stinginess
بخل کا
وَمَنۡ
waman
And whoever
اور جو کوئی
يَّتَوَلَّ
yatawalla
turns away
روگردانی کرتا ہے
فَاِنَّ
fa-inna
then indeed,
تو بیشک
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ تعالیٰ
هُوَ
huwa
He
وہ
الۡغَنِىُّ
l-ghaniyu
(is) Free of need
بےنیاز ہے
الۡحَمِيۡدُ
l-ḥamīdu
the Praiseworthy
تعریف والا ہے
Urdu —
جو لوگ (خود بھی) بخل کرتے ہیں اور (دوسرے) لوگوں کو (بھی) بخل کی تلقین کرتے ہیں، اور جو شخص (احکامِ الٰہی سے) رُوگردانی کرتا ہے تو بیشک اللہ (بھی) بے پرواہ ہے بڑا قابلِ حمد و ستائِش ہےo
— English
[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.
لَـقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا مَعَهُمُ الۡكِتٰبَ وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ لِيَقُوۡمَ النَّاسُ بِالۡقِسۡطِۚ وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا الۡحَـدِيۡدَ فِيۡهِ بَاۡسٌ شَدِيۡدٌ وَّمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَـعۡلَمَ اللّٰهُ مَنۡ يَّنۡصُرُهٗ وَرُسُلَهٗ بِالۡغَيۡبِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيۡزٌ
— Transliteration
Laqad arsalna rusulana bilbayyinatiwaanzalna maAAahumu alkitaba walmeezanaliyaqooma annasu bilqisti waanzalnaalhadeeda feehi ba/sun shadeedun wamanafiAAu linnasiwaliyaAAlama Allahu man yansuruhu warusulahu bilghaybiinna Allaha qawiyyun AAazeez
لَـقَدۡ
laqad
Certainly
البتہ تحقیق
اَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalnā
We sent
بھیجا ہم نے
رُسُلَنَا
rusulanā
Our Messengers
اپنے رسولوں کو
بِالۡبَيِّنٰتِ
bil-bayināti
with clear proofs
ساتھ روشن نشانیوں کے
وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا
wa-anzalnā
and We sent down
اور اتارا ہم نے
مَعَهُمُ
maʿahumu
with them
ان کے ساتھ
الۡكِتٰبَ
l-kitāba
the Scripture
کتاب کو
وَالۡمِيۡزَانَ
wal-mīzāna
and the Balance
اور میزان کو
لِيَقُوۡمَ
liyaqūma
that may establish
تاکہ قائم ہوں
النَّاسُ
l-nāsu
the people
لوگ
بِالۡقِسۡطِۚ
bil-qis'ṭi
justice
انصاف پر
وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا
wa-anzalnā
And We sent down
اور اتارا ہم نے
الۡحَـدِيۡدَ
l-ḥadīda
[the] iron
لوہا
فِيۡهِ
fīhi
wherein
اس میں
بَاۡسٌ
basun
(is) power
زور ہے
شَدِيۡدٌ
shadīdun
mighty
سخت
وَّمَنَافِعُ
wamanāfiʿu
and benefits
اور فائدے ہیں
لِلنَّاسِ
lilnnāsi
for the people
لوگوں کے لیے
وَلِيَـعۡلَمَ
waliyaʿlama
and so that Allah may make evident
اور تاکہ جان لے
اللّٰهُ
l-lahu
and so that Allah may make evident
اللہ
مَنۡ
man
(he) who
کون
يَّنۡصُرُهٗ
yanṣuruhu
helps Him
مدد کرتا ہے اس کی
وَ رُسُلَهٗ
warusulahu
and His Messengers
اور اس کے رسولوں کی
بِالۡغَيۡبِ ؕ
bil-ghaybi
unseen
ساتھ غیب کے
اِنَّ
inna
Indeed,
بیشک
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ تعالیٰ
قَوِىٌّ
qawiyyun
(is) All-Strong
قوت والا ہے،
عَزِيۡزٌ
ʿazīzun
All-Mighty
زبردست ہے
Urdu —
بیشک ہم نے اپنے رسولوں کو واضح نشانیوں کے ساتھ بھیجا اور ہم نے اُن کے ساتھ کتاب اور میزانِ عدل نازل فرمائی تاکہ لوگ انصاف پر قائم ہو سکیں، اور ہم نے (معدنیات میں سے) لوہا مہیّا کیا اس میں (آلاتِ حرب و دفاع کے لئے) سخت قوّت اور لوگوں کے لئے (صنعت سازی کے کئی دیگر) فوائد ہیں اور (یہ اس لئے کیا) تاکہ اللہ ظاہر کر دے کہ کون اُس کی اور اُس کے رسولوں کی (یعنی دینِ اسلام کی) بِن دیکھے مدد کرتا ہے، بیشک اللہ (خود ہی) بڑی قوت والا بڑے غلبہ والا ہےo
— English
We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.
وَلَقَدۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوۡحًا وَّاِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالۡـكِتٰبَ فَمِنۡهُمۡ مُّهۡتَدٍۚ وَّكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Walaqad arsalna noohan wa-ibraheemawajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima annubuwwatawalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoon
وَلَقَدۡ
walaqad
And certainly
البتہ تحقیق
اَرۡسَلۡنَا
arsalnā
We sent
بھیجا ہم نے
نُوۡحًا
nūḥan
Nuh
نوح کو
وَّ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ
wa-ib'rāhīma
and Ibrahim
اور ابراہیم کو
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
and We placed
اور بنایا ہم نے۔ رکھا ہم نے
فِىۡ
fī
in
میں
ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا
dhurriyyatihimā
their offspring
ان دونوں کی اولاد
النُّبُوَّةَ
l-nubuwata
Prophethood
نبوت کو
وَالۡـكِتٰبَ
wal-kitāba
and the Scripture
اور کتاب کو
فَمِنۡهُمۡ
famin'hum
and among them
تو بعض ان میں سے
مُّهۡتَدٍۚ
muh'tadin
(is) a guided one
ہدایت یافتہ ہیں
وَكَثِيۡرٌ
wakathīrun
but most
اور بہت سے
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
ان میں سے
فٰسِقُوۡنَ
fāsiqūna
(are) defiantly disobediently
فاسق ہیں
Urdu —
اور بیشک ہم نے نوح اور ابراہیم علیہما السلام کو بھیجا اور ہم نے دونوں کی اولاد میں رسالت اور کتاب مقرر فرما دی تو ان میں سے (بعض) ہدایت یافتہ ہیں، اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگ نافرمان ہیںo
— English
And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
ثُمَّ قَفَّيۡنَا عَلٰٓى اٰثَارِهِمۡ بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيۡنَا بِعِيۡسَى ابۡنِ مَرۡيَمَ وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ الۡاِنۡجِيۡلَ ۙ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِ الَّذِيۡنَ اتَّبَعُوۡهُ رَاۡفَةً وَّرَحۡمَةً ؕ وَّرَهۡبَانِيَّةً اۨبۡتَدَعُوۡهَا مَا كَتَبۡنٰهَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ اِلَّا ابۡتِغَآءَ رِضۡوَانِ اللّٰهِ فَمَا رَعَوۡهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَاۚ فَاٰتَيۡنَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡهُمۡ اَجۡرَهُمۡۚ وَكَثِيۡرٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ فٰسِقُوۡنَ
— Transliteration
Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihimbirusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryamawaataynahu al-injeela wajaAAalna fee quloobiallatheena ittabaAAoohu ra/fatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatanibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhimilla ibtighaa ridwani Allahifama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatihafaatayna allatheena amanoo minhumajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoon
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
پھر
قَفَّيۡنَا
qaffaynā
We sent
پے در پے بھیجے ہم نے
عَلٰٓى
ʿalā
on
پر
اٰثَارِهِمۡ
āthārihim
their footsteps
ان کے آثار
بِرُسُلِنَا
birusulinā
Our Messengers
اپنے رسول
وَقَفَّيۡنَا
waqaffaynā
and We followed
اور پیچھے بھیجا ہم نے
بِعِيۡسَى
biʿīsā
with Isa,
عیسیٰ
ابۡنِ
ib'ni
son
ابن
مَرۡيَمَ
maryama
(of) Maryam,
مریم کو
وَاٰتَيۡنٰهُ
waātaynāhu
and We gave him
اور عطا کی ہم نے اس کو
الۡاِنۡجِيۡلَ ۙ
l-injīla
the Injeel.
انجیل
وَجَعَلۡنَا
wajaʿalnā
And We placed
اور ڈال دیا ہم نے
فِىۡ
fī
in
میں
قُلُوۡبِ
qulūbi
(the) hearts
دلوں
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
(of) those who
ان لوگوں کے
اتَّبَعُوۡهُ
ittabaʿūhu
followed him
جنہوں نے پیروی کی اس کی
رَاۡفَةً
rafatan
compassion
شفقت کو
وَّرَحۡمَةً ؕ
waraḥmatan
and mercy
اور رحمت کو
وَرَهۡبَانِيَّةَ
warahbāniyyatan
But monasticism
اور رہبانیت
اۨبۡتَدَعُوۡهَا
ib'tadaʿūhā
they innovated
انہوں نے ایجاد کیا اس کو
مَا
mā
not
نہیں
كَتَبۡنٰهَا
katabnāhā
We prescribed it
فرض کیا تھا ہم نے اس کو
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʿalayhim
for them -
ان پر
اِلَّا
illā
only
مگر
ابۡتِغَآءَ
ib'tighāa
seeking
تلاش کرنے کو
رِضۡوَانِ
riḍ'wāni
(the) pleasure
رضا
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کی
فَمَا
famā
but not
تو نہیں
رَعَوۡهَا
raʿawhā
they observed it
انہوں نے رعایت کی اس کی
حَقَّ
ḥaqqa
(with) right
جیسے حق تھا
رِعَايَتِهَا ۚ
riʿāyatihā
observance
اس کی رعایت کا۔ نگہبانی کا۔ پابندی کا
فَاٰتَيۡنَا
faātaynā
So We gave
تو دیا ہم نے
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
those who
ان لوگوں کو
اٰمَنُوۡا
āmanū
believed
جو ایمان لائے
مِنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
among them
ان میں سے
اَجۡرَهُمۡۚ
ajrahum
their reward
ان کا اجر
وَكَثِيۡرٌ
wakathīrun
but most
اور بہت سے
مِّنۡهُمۡ
min'hum
of them
ان میں سے
فٰسِقُوۡنَ
fāsiqūna
(are) defiantly disobediently
فاسق ہیں
Urdu —
پھر ہم نے ان رسولوں کے نقوشِ قدم پر (دوسرے) رسولوں کو بھیجا اور ہم نے ان کے پیچھے عیسٰی ابنِ مریم (علیہما السلام) کو بھیجا اور ہم نے انہیں انجیل عطا کی اور ہم نے اُن لوگوں کے دلوں میں جو اُن کی (یعنی عیسٰی علیہ السلام کی صحیح) پیروی کر رہے تھے شفقت اور رحمت پیدا کر دی۔ اور رہبانیت (یعنی عبادتِ الٰہی کے لئے ترکِ دنیا اور لذّتوں سے کنارہ کشی) کی بدعت انہوں نے خود ایجاد کر لی تھی، اسے ہم نے اُن پر فرض نہیں کیا تھا، مگر (انہوں نے رہبانیت کی یہ بدعت) محض اللہ کی رضا حاصل کرنے کے لئے (شروع کی تھی) پھر اس کی عملی نگہداشت کا جو حق تھا وہ اس کی ویسی نگہداشت نہ کرسکے (یعنی اسے اسی جذبہ اور پابندی سے جاری نہ رکھ سکی)، سو ہم نے اُن لوگوں کو جو ان میں سے ایمان لائے (اور بدعتِ رہبانیت کو رضائے الٰہی کے لئے جاری رکھے ہوئے) تھے، اُن کا اجر و ثواب عطا کر دیا اور ان میں سے اکثر لوگ (جو اس کے تارک ہوگئے اور بدل گئے) بہت نافرمان ہیںo
— English
Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا اتَّقُوۡا اللّٰهَ وَاٰمِنُوۡا بِرَسُوۡلِهٖ يُؤۡتِكُمۡ كِفۡلَيۡنِ مِنۡ رَّحۡمَتِهٖ وَيَجۡعَل لَّـكُمۡ نُوۡرًا تَمۡشُوۡنَ بِهٖ وَيَغۡفِرۡ لَـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌۚ ۙ
— Transliteration
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha waaminoo birasoolihi yu/tikumkiflayni min rahmatihi wayajAAal lakum nooran tamshoonabihi wayaghfir lakum wallahu ghafoorun raheem
يٰۤاَيُّهَا
yāayyuhā
**O you who believe!
اے
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
O you who believe
لوگو !
اٰمَنُوا
āmanū
O you who believe
جو ایمان لائے ہو
اتَّقُوا
ittaqū
Fear
ڈرو
اللّٰهَ
l-laha
Allah
اللہ سے
وَاٰمِنُوۡا
waāminū
and believe
اور ایمان لاؤ
بِرَسُوۡلِهٖ
birasūlihi
in His Messenger
اس کے رسول پر
يُؤۡتِكُمۡ
yu'tikum
He will give you
دے گا تم کو
كِفۡلَيۡنِ
kif'layni
double portion
دوہرا حصہ
مِنۡ
min
of
میں سے
رَّحۡمَتِهٖ
raḥmatihi
His Mercy
اپنی رحمت
وَيَجۡعَلْ
wayajʿal
and He will make
اور بخشے گا
لَّـكُمۡ
lakum
for you
تم کو۔ بنا دے گا تمہارے لیے
نُوۡرًا
nūran
a light
ایک نور
تَمۡشُوۡنَ
tamshūna
you will walk
تم چلو گے
بِهٖ
bihi
with it,
ساتھ اس کے
وَيَغۡفِرۡ
wayaghfir
and He will forgive
اور بخش دے گا
لَـكُمۡؕ
lakum
you.
تم کو
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ
غَفُوۡرٌ
ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
غفور
رَّحِيۡمٌ ۙۚ
raḥīmun
Most Merciful
رحیم ہے
Urdu —
اے ایمان والو! اللہ کا تقوٰی اختیار کرو اور اُس کے رسولِ (مکرّم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پر ایمان لے آؤ وہ تمہیں اپنی رحمت کے دو حصّے عطا فرمائے گا اور تمہارے لئے نور پیدا فرما دے گا جس میں تم (دنیا اور آخرت میں) چلا کرو گے اور تمہاری مغفرت فرما دے گا، اور اللہ بہت بخشنے والا بہت رحم فرمانے والا ہےo
— English
O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
لِّـئَلَّا يَعۡلَمَ اَهۡلُ الۡكِتٰبِ اَلَّا يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ عَلٰى شَىۡءٍ مِّنۡ فَضۡلِ اللّٰهِ وَاَنَّ الۡفَضۡلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِ يُؤۡتِيۡهِ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوۡ الۡفَضۡلِ الۡعَظِيۡمِ
— Transliteration
Li-alla yaAAlama ahlu alkitabialla yaqdiroona AAala shay-in min fadli Allahiwaanna alfadla biyadi Allahi yu/teehi man yashaowallahu thoo alfadli alAAatheem
لِّـئَلَّا
li-allā
So that
تاکہ نہ
يَعۡلَمَ
yaʿlama
may know
جان پائیں
اَهۡلُ
ahlu
(the) People
اہل
الۡكِتٰبِ
l-kitābi
(of) the Book
کتاب
اَلَّا
allā
that not
کہ نہیں
يَقۡدِرُوۡنَ
yaqdirūna
they have power
وہ قدرت رکھتے
عَلٰى
ʿalā
over
اوپر
شَىۡءٍ
shayin
anything
کسی چیز کے
مِّنۡ
min
from
سے
فَضۡلِ
faḍli
(the) Bounty
فضل
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کے
وَاَنَّ
wa-anna
and that
اور بیشک
الۡفَضۡلَ
l-faḍla
the Bounty
فضل
بِيَدِ
biyadi
(is) in Allah's Hand
ہاتھ میں ہے
اللّٰهِ
l-lahi
(is) in Allah's Hand
اللہ کے
يُؤۡتِيۡهِ
yu'tīhi
He gives it
دیتا ہے اس کو
مَنۡ
man
whom
جس کو
يَّشَآءُ ؕ
yashāu
He wills
چاہتا ہے
وَاللّٰهُ
wal-lahu
And Allah
اور اللہ
ذُوۡ
dhū
**(is) the Possessor of Bounty
والا ہے
الۡفَضۡلِ
l-faḍli
(is) the Possessor of Bounty
فضل
الۡعَظِيۡمِ
l-ʿaẓīmi
the Great
بڑے
Urdu —
(یہ بیان اِس لئے ہے) کہ اہلِ کتاب جان لیں کہ وہ اللہ کے فضل پر کچھ قدرت نہیں رکھتے اور (یہ) کہ سارا فضل اللہ ہی کے دستِ قدرت میں ہے وہ جِسے چاہتا ہے عطا فرماتا ہے، اور اللہ فضل والا عظمت والا ہےo
— English
[This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
