بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
— Transliteration
Bismi Allahi arrahmani arraheem
بِسۡمِ
bis'mi
In (the) name
ساتھ نام
اللهِ
l-lahi
(of) Allah
اللہ کے
الرَّحۡمٰنِ
l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
جو بے حد مہربان ہے
الرَّحِيۡمِ
l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
بار بار رحم فرمانے والا ہے
Urdu —
اللہ کے نام سےشروع جو نہایت مہربان ہمیشہ رحم فرمانےوالا ہے
— English
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ
— Transliteration
Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameen
اَلۡحَمۡدُ
al-ḥamdu
All praises and thanks
سب تعریف
لِلّٰهِ
lillahi
(be) to Allah
اللہ کے لیے ہے
رَبِّ
rabbi
the Lord
جو رب ہے
الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ
l-ʿālamīna
of the universe
تمام جہانوں کا
Urdu —
سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لئے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کی پرورش فرمانے والا ہے
— English
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -
الرَّحۡمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِۙ
— Transliteration
Arrahmani arraheem
الرَّحۡمٰنِ
al-raḥmāni
The Most Gracious
جو بہت مہربان
الرَّحِيۡمِۙ
l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
بار بار رحم فرمانے والا ہے
Urdu —
نہایت مہربان بہت رحم فرمانے والا ہے
— English
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
مٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ الدِّيۡنِؕ
— Transliteration
Maliki yawmi addeen
مٰلِكِ
māliki
(The) Master
مالک ہے
يَوۡمِ
yawmi
(of the) Day
دن کا
الدِّيۡنِؕ
l-dīni
(of the) Judgment
بدلے کے
Urdu —
روزِ جزا کا مالک ہے
— English
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
اِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَاِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِيۡنُؕ
— Transliteration
Iyyaka naAAbudu wa-iyyaka nastaAAeen
اِيَّاكَ
iyyāka
You Alone
صرف تیری
نَعۡبُدُ
naʿbudu
we worship
ہم عبادت کرتے ہیں
وَاِيَّاكَ
wa-iyyāka
and You Alone
اور صرف تجھ سے
نَسۡتَعِيۡنُؕ
nastaʿīnu
we ask for help
ہم مدد چاہتے ہیں
Urdu —
(اے اللہ!) ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور ہم تجھ ہی سے مدد چاہتے ہیں
— English
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
اِهۡدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمَۙ
— Transliteration
Ihdina assirata almustaqeem
اِهۡدِنَا
ih'dinā
Guide us
دکھا ہم کو
الصِّرَاطَ
l-ṣirāṭa
(to) the path
راستہ
الۡمُسۡتَقِيۡمَۙ
l-mus'taqīma
the straight
سیدھا
Urdu —
ہمیں سیدھا راستہ دکھا
— English
Guide us to the straight path -
صِرَاطَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ۙ غَيۡرِ الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا الضَّآلِّيۡنَ
— Transliteration
Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala addalleen
صِرَاطَ
ṣirāṭa
(The) path
راستہ
الَّذِيۡنَ
alladhīna
(of) those
ان لوگوں کا
اَنۡعَمۡتَ
anʿamta
You have bestowed (Your) Favors
انعام کیا تو نے
عَلَيۡهِمۡ ۙ
ʿalayhim
on them,
اوپر ان کے
غَيۡرِ
ghayri
not (of)
نہ ان (لوگوں) کا
الۡمَغۡضُوۡبِ
l-maghḍūbi
those who earned (Your) wrath
غضب کیا گیا
عَلَيۡهِمۡ
ʿalayhim
on themselves,
اوپر ان کے
وَلَا
walā
and not
اور نہ
الضَّآلِّيۡنَ
l-ḍālīna
(of) those who astray
ان (لوگوں) کا جو گمراہ ہیں / گم کردہ راہ ہیں
Urdu —
ان لوگوں کا راستہ جن پر تو نے انعام فرمایا ان لوگوں کا نہیں جن پر غضب کیا گیا ہے اور نہ (ہی) گمراہوں کا
— English
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
