Verse Meaning

According to the classical exegete Ibn Kathir, Prophet Musa's command in Quran 10:80, 'Cast what you are to cast,' was a strategic display of immense confidence in the divine truth he represented. Rather than an act of hesitation, it was a challenge born of certainty. As Imam As-Sa'di explains, Musa's instruction was open-ended, showing he was unconcerned with whatever illusions they could conjure because he was certain of his eventual victory through Allah's power.
