Verse Meaning

According to the classical exegete Ibn Kathir, Quran 10:8 serves as a direct and unequivocal statement of consequence for those described in the preceding verse. He clarifies that their ultimate 'mā'wā' (abode or refuge) will be the Fire as a just recompense for what they 'used to earn'—namely, their disbelief, sins, and transgressions. Al-Tabari and Al-Qurtubi concur, emphasizing that this is their final destination, earned directly through their actions and choices in the worldly life.
