Ibn Kathir explains that once the king was certain of Yusuf's complete innocence and integrity, he declared, 'Bring him to me; I will appoint him exclusively for myself.' This desire to make Yusuf a close and personal advisor signifies a profound shift in status. Al-Qurtubi highlights the king's elevated request, noting that his first summons was merely to interpret a dream, but this second call was to 'make him exclusively for myself' (astakhlishu linafsi), indicating the recognition of Yusuf's unparalleled wisdom and character.
