Verse Meaning

According to the classical exegete Imam Al-Tabari, Quran 10:86, 'Wa najjinā biraḥmatika min al-qawm al-kāfirīn,' is a direct and heartfelt plea from the followers of Prophet Musa for deliverance from the tyranny of Pharaoh and his people. This supplication is not merely a request for safety but a profound declaration of faith. As Ibn Kathir clarifies, it is a plea to be saved by Allah's mercy alone, acknowledging that their own strength is insufficient.
